The Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility (WARF) features an indoor competition pool, a therapeutic spa, a leisure pool with a water slide, lazy river, vortex, and zero-depth entry with easy access for toddlers, seniors, and those in wheelchairs. The WARF also has a well-equipped fitness room and a multi-purpose room for fitness classes. The Department also operates five Town parks that include, but are not limited to, sports fields and courts, pavilion rentals, walking trails, and exciting interactive playgrounds.

🌳 Parks & Recreation Maintenance Updates

A few improvements are coming to our parks and recreation spaces over the next couple of weeks!

🔹 Week of September 21 – Academy Hill Park: The pickleball court will be closed while repairs are made to the court surface. The court will reopen once the work is complete.

🔹 Week of September 21 – WARF Trails: The trail around the WARF building will be closed while maintenance and repair work is completed. Please avoid the trail and work areas during the closure.

🔹 Week of September 28 – WARF Parking Lot: Parking lot lines will be restriped. Portions of the parking lot may be temporarily unavailable while work is underway.

🔹 September 29 – Fun For All Playground: The playground will be closed while landscaping upgrades are completed around the play area.

🌧️ Please note: All work is weather dependent. In the event of rain or other unfavorable conditions, scheduled work may be postponed and rescheduled. We’ll update this post with any changes to the dates or times, so please check back for the latest information.

We appreciate your patience while these improvements are underway and look forward to keeping our parks and recreation spaces safe, welcoming, and well maintained!

🇺🇸 This morning, we climbed in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Your presence, strength, and willingness to climb in honor of all who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, meant so much.

👣 Each step was a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness that we will never forget.

To everyone who joined us last night for our Community Walk for Hope, thank you! Your kindness, your courage, and your willingness to walk together made the evening unforgettable.💕

With the support of Town of Warrenton Parks and Recreation- WARF, Mental Health Association of Fauquier County, Highland School Warrenton, VA, and The Orchid Studio + Gallery, we gathered at Courthouse Square, decorated luminary bags, honored those we’ve lost, wrote messages of encouragement, and walked to the Warrenton Branch Greenway bridge to tie our ribbons of hope.

This video shares just a small piece of the love and support we witnessed. If you’re struggling, please know: you belong here, you matter, and help is always within reach! The Mental Health Association of Fauquier is here for you with care, guidance, and resources whenever you need them.
