Mental health is health.

For a long time, athletes were taught to push through, stay quiet, and keep going no matter what. But the strongest moments in sport are not always the ones we see on the highlight reel. Sometimes they are the moments an athlete chooses to speak up, ask for help, or admit they are not okay.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reminded that taking care of your mind is not separate from taking care of your game. It is part of it.

To every student-athlete out there: you are not alone, and you never have been.

The hardest part of being an athlete is not the bad games. It is what those bad games can do to you when you let them define who you are.

When your identity is tied to your performance, every game starts to feel like a verdict on who you are. A good one lifts you up. A bad one takes everything down with it, your mood, your confidence, the way you talk to the people around you.

But you are not your last game. You never were. The athletes who figure that out are the ones who play with more freedom, bounce back faster, and grow into something bigger than the sport.

Performance is what you do. It is not who you are.

We’re excited to welcome Chelsea High School to the NDUR community!

Through our partnership with Chelsea High School, NDUR will support student-athletes with programming and resources centered on mental wellness, leadership, identity, and performance.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to work with the Chelsea High School community and support student-athletes as they grow both on and off the field.

Welcome, Red Devils! ❤️

Kobe Bryant understood that the lessons learned from sports matter more than any championship ever could.

Failure, leadership, discipline, identity. The growth happens in sport, but the meaning of it shows up in the rest of your life.

If you don’t take the time to reflect on what your experiences are teaching you, you’ll be shown those same lessons again, this time in the real world. The athletes who get the most out of sport are the ones who pay attention to what it is building in them along the way.

Big goals are rarely built in a day.

They are built in the quiet stretches when results have not arrived yet, when the work feels slow, and when the only thing pulling you forward is your willingness to keep going.

Shirle Major shares why trusting the process matters, especially when the wins are not showing up yet. Staying patient with your own growth and not getting discouraged along the way is often what separates the athletes who reach their goals from the ones who walk away too soon.

When athletes have the right people and tools around them, everything changes.

The right support can shape confidence, connection, leadership, and the way athletes experience their sport as a whole.

That is what NDUR is helping build across 400+ campuses and growing. With over 1 million student-athlete interactions in our app, the impact is not just in the numbers. It is in what those numbers represent: athletes showing up, connecting, finding their voice, and helping shape stronger environments together.

Because when student-athletes have the support and space to make an impact, it changes more than the individual. It changes the culture around them too.

A lot of athletes say they want things to change: A better role, a better mindset, a better future.
Fewer are ready to change something first.

Trevor McDonald shares one of the biggest lessons basketball taught him: growth starts with the decision to take a risk and move differently.

That lesson applies far beyond the court.

Self-belief does not always come from instant results.

Sometimes it comes from showing up, staying consistent, and trusting the habits you have built even before everything pays off.

Shirle Major reflects on one of the most powerful lessons sports can teach: self-belief. Learning to trust your work, your growth, and your own unique journey can shape the way you move through every part of life.

DIII Week at Curry College brought student-athletes together for one of our favorite moments of the year: the NDUR Olympics, a day built around teamwork, communication, and navigating adversity because success isn’t just built on game day.

Over 70% of Curry student-athletes are on the NDUR platform, and events like this show why. When athletes invest in their mental performance, it shows up everywhere.

Proud to be part of the Curry community and grateful to see NDUR making an impact in action! 💜
