The name Koshin-ha translates as: (Ko)=Old, (shin)=New, (ha)=Group or Family. The name Koshin-ha was chosen by a group of senior Chito-ryu practitioners in 2004. It describes our philosophy, which holds that we are a united group that has chosen to study the old ways to better understand the new.
