I am Chief Instructor at Mike’s Martial Arts. I teach an Americanized form of karate that utilizes natural motion primarily from a "boxing" fighting stance. It was developed with a biblical foundation to teach average people--young and old--a way to defend themselves without the influence of Eastern philosophy, while providing an avenue to spread the gospel of salvation through the finished work o

My name is Michael Huotari. I am the Chief Instructor at Mike’s Martial Arts. I teach the art of Cha Yun-do, which is translated from Korean to mean: “the art of natural motion.” It is a defensive karate-styled martial art. In addition, the art is 100% Christian and biblically based.

The founder of the Art is Dr. Randolph Young. Dr. Young developed Cha Yun-Do with a biblical foundation to give people an opportunity to learn how to defend themselves through the practice of karate without the influence of Eastern philosophy, while providing an avenue to spread the gospel of salvation to secular society. Hence, Cha Yun-do, the art of Natural Motion, was born in 1989.
