Oregon Equestrian Trails (OET), Columbia County (St. Helens)

We are having our Annual Holiday Dinner and Fundraiser again this year! All of the proceeds raised during our events are used to improve the horse camp and trails: Columbia County Parks Camp Wilkerson and Dibblee Beach. With the funds we've raised over the years, we've been able to upgrade the corrals so there is less maintenance in the future. Every year we have big jobs to keep the trails open and free of berry bushes, salal and Oregon grape. We have added sand in the corrals, and added rock to muddy areas on the trails. We are still looking to add new trails and loops for more options to riding. We hope that you can come and help support OET to continue our work in Columbia County.

We joined the Chamber of Commerce and they held a ribbon cutting for our new membership with them. We are making new contacts and getting the word out about OET and what we do in Columbia County and as a State wide organization.

Our Chapter has joined the local Chamber of Commerce. This was organized by our Chapter Vice Chair, Cassandra Asher.

OET (Oregon Equestrian Columbia County) for over 50 years, OET has worked to ensure that horse trails and camps throughout our state remain accessible to riders now and in the future. OET members promote LNT ethics, outdoor ethics, campground etiquette, and trail etiquette. In addition to outdoor contributions, OET members also maintain ongoing communication with various governmental agencies to ensure continued equestrian access on public lands now and for future generations of equestrians. OET does so much and most of us know very little about, we want to change this & help get the word out! OET will have Ribbon Cutting Friday June 5th at South Columbia County Chamber of Commerce 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. OET has lots of planed for us, take a break and spend lunch with us!! The Central Oregon Chapter of OET has worked for a new equestrian trail in collaboration with other groups on Public Lands. Looks like great riding.
