Just a little topline appreciation post 💪🩵🩷

This mare has made LEAPS AND BOUNDS of improvement in so many ways physically, mentally, and emotionally.

And although we discuss her amazing progress often, we had her in the cross ties yesterday and realized holy cow 🐄 her neck looks amazing 🤩

You can tell how much better her posture is even only seeing the front of her. THIS is the kind of work and training that ADDS longevity to your horses riding career, their comfort, and their performance 🏇💡

This is not something that happens automatically. It is a skill set, it is years of developing feel, timing, and technique. A lot of people ask “why would someone put their broke horse in training if they can ride it?”..

THIS is why 🫳🎤

Our barn had a lovely saddle fitting day with the highly skilled fitter Laurie Macdonald!

She is an absolute wealth of knowledge and is so kind and patient, always making sure she not only fits the saddle to horse and rider but also educates us 🙏🏻

Professional saddle fitting is a CRUCIAL part of every horse and rider partnership to make sure they are comfortable and we are balanced. If you’ve never used a saddle fitter you NEED TO, you will be blown away by what you didn’t know. It’s worth every penny!

And that’s why at Catalira we strongly encourage learning things off the horse too, utilizing fellow professionals in our field, and expanding our knowledge base so we can have the best partnerships possible 💖🔆
