All persons are welcomed regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. All spiritual traditions are welcomed but not required. There is no 'one size fits all' counseling, spiritual guidance, or supervision. I use the tools with which I am equipped to assess and offer services tailored to each person or group where they are on their journey. The "tool bag" from which
I draw includes training in pastoral counseling, Jungian related psychology, dream work, family systems, theology, interfaith relationships, study, dialogue, and spiritual guidance. I also engage in ongoing consultation with various colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds to insure self-awareness and appropriate care of self and clients. I m a pastoral counselor, certified as a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, Eastern Region, a member Associate of the Northeast Guild for Spiritual Formation and a member of Spiritual Directors International. Clients include individuals, couples, groups, clergy, and religious institutions. Professional standing is maintained in AAPC and as a United Church of Christ minister, ordained in 1985. I served as pastor, teacher and spiritual guide with churches in MA and NH for many years. I currently serve with the Deering Community Church, UCC, Deering NH. Education includes a BA in Psychology, Religion and Literature from UMass Boston, Harbor Campus and a Masters of Divinity from Andover Newton Theological School in Newton Ma. as well as five years of post graduate studies in psycho-dynamic and family systems theory and practice.
