🚀 BROAD JUMPS START WITH GREAT COACHING 🚀

Most people see the jump.

We focus on the FOUNDATION. 🧱

Today we taught one of our 8-year-old athletes the simple sequence:

⬆️ UP
➡️ SNAP
💥 JUMP

✅ Feet hip-width apart
✅ Arms reach UP
✅ Arms SNAP back while loading the hips
✅ Explode forward
✅ Land softly on two feet

Why does this matter?

A properly coached broad jump helps young athletes develop:

⚡ Explosive power
⚡ Coordination
⚡ Body control
⚡ Balance
⚡ Athletic confidence
⚡ Force production for faster sprinting and change of direction

At Brick By Brick Athletics, we don’t just tell athletes WHAT to do.

We teach them HOW to move efficiently so they can build athleticism that carries over to every sport. 🏈⚾🏀⚽

The earlier athletes learn proper movement mechanics, the stronger their athletic foundation becomes. 💪

💥 EXPLOSIVE POWER IS BUILT, NOT BORN 💥

One of our favorite contrast power pairings:

🏋️ Trap Bar Jumps
➡️ Supersetted with
🏐 Med Ball Split Squat Jumps

Why?

✅ Develops explosive lower-body power
✅ Improves force production into the ground
✅ Builds single-leg athleticism
✅ Enhances acceleration and change of direction
✅ Transfers directly to football, baseball, basketball, track, and more
✅ Teaches athletes to be powerful while staying coordinated

The Trap Bar Jump helps athletes produce maximum force quickly, while the Med Ball Split Squat Jump challenges balance, stability, and unilateral power.

🔥 Strong athletes are good.
⚡ Explosive athletes are dangerous.

At Brick By Brick Athletics, we’re focused on helping athletes jump higher, run faster, and become more explosive in every movement.
