The Secret to a Perfect Squat? It Starts Before the Barbell 🏋️‍♂️✨

When training young athletes, everyone wants to jump straight into loading the bar. But if they don’t have the mobility to hit depth properly, adding weight is just a recipe for injury.

Today, we’re breaking down the exact stretching and mobility routine I use to unlock a safe, deep, and powerful squat.

Why stretching matters for the squat:

* Ankle Mobility: Allows the knees to track properly without lifting the heels.

* Hip Openers: Prevents the lower back from rounding at the bottom (the dreaded "wink").

* Core/Thoracic Prep: Keeps the chest proud and the spine protected under load.

Don't let poor flexibility cut a promising athletic career short. Teach them to move right before you teach them to move heavy! 💯

Teaching young or new athletes how to lift is a massive responsibility. A lot of kids think it's a binary choice: go casual or go absolute beast mode.

But the truth is, injuries happen on both sides of that coin. If they don't train hard enough, their bodies aren't protected. If they train too hard with poor form, they risk structural damage.
