Now that I’ve had some time to really let this sink in, I can honestly say this award means more to me than I can fully put into words.

Being voted the #1 gym in Warminster came at a time when I truly needed this reminder.

Because if I’m being real… being a small business owner can be incredibly lonely.

People see the workouts. The music. The community. The smiles. The events. The fun.

What they don’t see are the nights you lie awake running numbers in your head, wondering how you’re going to make it all work. The pit in your stomach every time a cancellation email comes through…. not because you’re mad at that person, but because every cancellation feels personal when you’ve poured your heart into building something. The constant pressure of knowing that other people’s paychecks, opportunities, and experiences are tied to decisions you make.

They don’t see the people pleasing. The bending over backwards. The moments where you say yes when you should say no because you care too much. The emotional exhaustion of wanting to make everyone happy while quietly carrying the weight of knowing that no matter how much you give, sometimes it still won’t be enough for some people.

And maybe the hardest part? The constant feeling that you’re not enough.

Not smart enough to grow it the right way.
Not experienced enough to lead the way others expect.
Not fit enough to own a gym.
Not strong enough.
Not polished enough.
Not doing enough.

That quiet voice that whispers, Who do you think you are? The feeling of being a fraud while simultaneously carrying something people believe in.
The pressure of showing up confidently for everyone else while privately questioning yourself more than anyone realizes.

They don’t see the sacrifices your family makes. The missed dinners. The distracted conversations because your brain is somewhere else trying to solve the next problem. The mental load that never fully shuts off. The way owning something like this becomes part of your identity, which means when it struggles… you struggle.

Owning a gym is a different kind of vulnerable.

Because this isn’t just a business with numbers on a spreadsheet.

This is people’s goals.
Their insecurities.
Their confidence.
Their health.
Their trust.

And carrying that responsibility while also trying to keep the lights on, grow, lead, serve, and somehow still be a present mom, wife, friend, teacher, and human… it can feel crushing.

But then…

I get to watch someone get their first box jump after telling themselves for months they couldn’t do it.

I get to hear someone in their 60s tell me their bloodwork came back better now than it did in their 40s.

I get to watch complete strangers walk in unsure and intimidated… and months later they’re planning dinners together, cheering each other on, and becoming lifelong friends.

I get to watch women and men choose themselves in a world that constantly tells them to put themselves last.

I get to see kids watching their parents do hard things. Watching them show up. Watching them fight for their health. Watching them choose growth over comfort.

And maybe the most meaningful part of all… I get to witness generational health being created right in front of me.

Parents teaching their children what strength looks like. What discipline looks like. What taking care of yourself looks like.

That impact is bigger than any award.

So yes, this recognition means everything.

Not because of the title.

But because on the hard days.. (and there are a lot of hard days) it reminds me that what we are building matters.

To every single person who has trusted us, supported us, shown up, brought a friend, shared a post, encouraged a member, or simply chosen Compound as part of your story…

Thank you.

You may see a gym.

I see thousands of moments that changed lives…. including mine. ❤️

As a teacher myself, I know firsthand how much you pour into others every single day. The long hours, the emotional energy, the constant giving… it’s a lot. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, it’s really easy to forget to take care of YOU.

That’s exactly why we’re doing this.
For the entire month of May, we’re inviting all educators who are new to Compound Fitness to come in FREE all month long. No pressure. No expectations. Just a space to move, breathe, and take care of yourself surrounded by a community that’s got your back.

Because you deserve that.
Because you’ve earned that.

If you’ve been thinking about starting… this is your sign 💜

🚨 OFFICIAL MISSING MEMBER REPORT 🚨

We regret to inform you that one of our own has gone rogue…

Name: Melissa
Height: 5’2” on a good day (with shoes & good posture)
Eyes: Brown
Last seen: November
Outfit: Black leggings, blue shirt
Last Known Activity: Carrying a keg like it counted as leg day

⚠️ WARNING:
DO NOT engage in conversation with her.
She will confidently say, “I’m coming back to the gym this week.”
This is a known pattern. Do not be fooled.

She is considered extremely convincing and has successfully delayed her return for several months using phrases like:
👉 “After this weekend”
👉 “Once things calm down”
👉 “Starting Monday” (unspecified year)

📞 If located, do NOT approach.
Contact Compound Fitness immediately so we can safely return her to a 6am class where she belongs.

🍸 Reward: One espresso martini (redeemable upon successful return of Melissa to class)

Final Note:
Melissa, if you’re reading this… this is your sign. Your barbell misses you. Your spot is still warm. And we already signed you up for tomorrow 😉

What does it actually take to change your life?

Not your body. Your life.

We've been thinking about that question a lot lately, because we watched someone do it. Right here. In this gym. Starting June 2025.

His name is Michael. By day, he is a research chemist, someone who spends his hours in a lab, analyzing materials, solving complex problems, and thinking deeply. The kind of work that demands everything from you mentally and leaves a little left over for much else.

He walked through the door not knowing anyone, not knowing the movements, not knowing if any of it would stick. You could see it in the way he looked around. In the questions he asked. He wasn't comfortable. This was all new.

That's what made everything that followed so powerful.

He came back the next day.
And the next.
And the next.

153 times over 10 months, Michael made a deliberate choice to show up. Not when it was easy. Not when he felt ready. He showed up before he felt ready, and built the confidence along the way.

After class, he'd ask: "Am I doing this right?" or "What can I do better?" That kind of humility is rare. That kind of coachability is what separates people who dabble from people who transform.

""What I'm most proud of isn't just the weight loss, but the consistency I've developed and how much better I feel day to day. It's become a part of my life rather than something I have to force myself to do.""

He's lost over 60 pounds. Built real strength. But the moment I keep coming back to isn't on any scoreboard.

When Michael started, running to the fence and back left him winded.

He didn't avoid it. He leaned in.

Fence and back. Then two. Then half a 400. Then a full 400. Then — most recently — an entire park loop. Something that once felt completely out of reach.

That progression is who Michael is.

By December, naming him Rookie of the Year wasn't a decision — it was undeniable.

And now? Watch him in class. He carries himself differently. He engages, connects, belongs. There's a self-assurance growing in him that no before-and-after photo could ever capture.

And then there's his smile.

It shows up more now. Genuine. Proud. The smile of someone who is starting to see what we saw in him from the beginning.

Michael didn't wait until he felt confident to start. He started without it — and built it, rep by rep, class by class, choice by choice.

That is what real courage looks like.

We are so proud of you, Michael. 🙌

A HUGE shoutout to the 16 incredible individuals who completed our 62-mile October Challenge! Over the course of the month, these rockstars intentionally carved out time each day to walk, run, and move with purpose, proving that consistency and commitment aren’t just words… they’re a lifestyle.

This challenge wasn’t just about the miles. It was about showing up even when it wasn’t convenient, choosing movement when the day felt long, and holding true to the integrity of their word. That’s who our Compound crew is… people who do the hard things, quietly, consistently, and with heart. ❤️

As promised, for every finisher, $20 was added to our Brad Fox Hero WOD donation total, raising an additional $320 for this year’s cause : Gilda’s Club in Warminster, an organization committed to supporting families in our local community who have been impacted by cancer.

Tara and I couldn’t be more proud of the grit, purpose, and community you’ve built through this challenge. You didn’t just move your bodies, you moved our mission forward. 💪💙 Thabk you!
