Now that I’ve had some time to really let this sink in, I can honestly say this award means more to me than I can fully put into words.
Being voted the #1 gym in Warminster came at a time when I truly needed this reminder.
Because if I’m being real… being a small business owner can be incredibly lonely.
People see the workouts. The music. The community. The smiles. The events. The fun.
What they don’t see are the nights you lie awake running numbers in your head, wondering how you’re going to make it all work. The pit in your stomach every time a cancellation email comes through…. not because you’re mad at that person, but because every cancellation feels personal when you’ve poured your heart into building something. The constant pressure of knowing that other people’s paychecks, opportunities, and experiences are tied to decisions you make.
They don’t see the people pleasing. The bending over backwards. The moments where you say yes when you should say no because you care too much. The emotional exhaustion of wanting to make everyone happy while quietly carrying the weight of knowing that no matter how much you give, sometimes it still won’t be enough for some people.
And maybe the hardest part? The constant feeling that you’re not enough.
Not smart enough to grow it the right way.
Not experienced enough to lead the way others expect.
Not fit enough to own a gym.
Not strong enough.
Not polished enough.
Not doing enough.
That quiet voice that whispers, Who do you think you are? The feeling of being a fraud while simultaneously carrying something people believe in.
The pressure of showing up confidently for everyone else while privately questioning yourself more than anyone realizes.
They don’t see the sacrifices your family makes. The missed dinners. The distracted conversations because your brain is somewhere else trying to solve the next problem. The mental load that never fully shuts off. The way owning something like this becomes part of your identity, which means when it struggles… you struggle.
Owning a gym is a different kind of vulnerable.
Because this isn’t just a business with numbers on a spreadsheet.
This is people’s goals.
Their insecurities.
Their confidence.
Their health.
Their trust.
And carrying that responsibility while also trying to keep the lights on, grow, lead, serve, and somehow still be a present mom, wife, friend, teacher, and human… it can feel crushing.
But then…
I get to watch someone get their first box jump after telling themselves for months they couldn’t do it.
I get to hear someone in their 60s tell me their bloodwork came back better now than it did in their 40s.
I get to watch complete strangers walk in unsure and intimidated… and months later they’re planning dinners together, cheering each other on, and becoming lifelong friends.
I get to watch women and men choose themselves in a world that constantly tells them to put themselves last.
I get to see kids watching their parents do hard things. Watching them show up. Watching them fight for their health. Watching them choose growth over comfort.
And maybe the most meaningful part of all… I get to witness generational health being created right in front of me.
Parents teaching their children what strength looks like. What discipline looks like. What taking care of yourself looks like.
That impact is bigger than any award.
So yes, this recognition means everything.
Not because of the title.
But because on the hard days.. (and there are a lot of hard days) it reminds me that what we are building matters.
To every single person who has trusted us, supported us, shown up, brought a friend, shared a post, encouraged a member, or simply chosen Compound as part of your story…
Thank you.
You may see a gym.
I see thousands of moments that changed lives…. including mine. ❤️
