To our amazing dancers and dance community.
As I sit and look back on everything we have done at Yellow Rose Dance Center, I cannot help but smile. We had so much support right out of the gate. We welcomed children from all over Wareham and Plymouth into our studio to come learn about the world of dance with us. Ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop classes were filled with excited dancers ready to learn.
We walked in the Wareham Christmas parade and had a winter showcase where we couldn’t fit any more people in! Your support was incredible!
Then, COVID hit. We had virtual classes. Our kiddos showed up and we kept learning! I got to meet all of your families, pets, and got full house tours via Zoom. Teaching virtually was a whole new world for all of us, but we did it!
Then, we started welcoming adults in. Our tap classes were so much fun! So many of you dusted off your tap shoes to come make noise on Sunday mornings. We even did some fun themed pop up classes. It truly created so many incredible memories! We faked it until we made it some mornings, but we did great!
As some of you may have seen, Solo Fitness (run by the awesome Laura), will be closing come June. I am so grateful to have rented the space from Laura and to have connected with her. She has had an incredible career and was a wonderful friend in fitness. We want to congratulate her on her pseudo-retirement!
With that, our hearts are heavy to say that the current physical location of Yellow Rose Dance Center is now closed. We hope to be able to come back one day to bring more dance to your lives. If you need a recommendation for another local studio, please reach out. I’d be happy to recommended one! This is not goodbye, this is see you later.
Thank you all for your love and support. You helped make my lifelong dream come true💜
With Love and Dance,
“Miss” Sammie Anderson
