The Team traveled to Coulee City for the annual County Shoot.

Jorgen Jensen took first in "B" Class - Shooting a 95/100 - in Singles and 85/100 in Handicap.

Rodolfo Beck Singles - 94/100 Handicap 78/100
Valentin Juarez Singles - 92/100 Handicap 78/100
Luis Navarrjo Single - 86/100 Handicap 71/100
Kameron Jensen 82/100 Handicap 68/100

Next up will be the State Competition in April.

So last week the team traveled to St John for their shoot.

With State wrestling falling on last week a couple of our boys were wrestling and missed the shoot.

Informational Post: I was asked how the scoring works. So here is what I know. :)

Each team (usually a team of 5) shoots 2 rounds of 25 clays split up at 5 posts. So they shoot 5 times from each post. The first round is called singles. They shoot from 16 yards and rotate through so everyone shoots 5 shots from each of the 5 posts. Round 2 is usually shot from 20 yards- and is called handicap. Some kids shoot from different handicaps in other shoots, but for the purpose of FFA shoots, this is how it is done. After the teams shoot both rounds the club house tallies up the scores out of 50. The top 4 (Sometimes 3) highest of each team are counted toward the teams score. They are also counted individually and top 3 shooters overall are awarded.

On Feb 8th the Team traveled to Othello to shoot in their FFA Shoot. We took two teams!

Team 1 took 2nd Place!

Congrats to Valentin Juarez placed 3rd high individual overall!

And Shout out to our Advisor Santos Juarez - He shot in the advisor shoot and took 1st place overall!
