Our boys bathroom is closed temporarily. The toilets are not being used and it is disgusting what is going on the floor and the walls. Boys can use the private restroom that is right across the hallway and this will help the lifeguards monitor the bathrooms better and there will be accountability for disrespectful behavior.

It’s not funny—it’s just absolutely gross.

Due to the wind and how it is impacting the water/visualizing the bottom of the pool, the deep end will be closed for the rest of the day, unless the wind settles down. Thanks!

Starting June 8, we will have free swimming for the public each Monday. If you have a pass, please let us know so we do not calculate your admission cost.

The Wapello Methodist Church wanted to continue their donation again this year! DSB Insurance (formerly known as Earnest Insurance) made a donation to ensure this can last through the end of the season. How lucky are we to have such awesome community support!

This weekend our new lifeguards are getting trained! 🎉 In order for them to practice and learn what they need, we will need to close the deep end at times throughout the afternoon both today and tomorrow.

We are very fortunate to have a trainer come to us to train the guards so we just need to accommodate our space. Thank you for understanding!

Please, Please, Please watch your kiddos in the pool. Our guards are trained to scan and cannot see everything in every single moment. Please talk to them about the importance of safety in AND around water (not even just at the pool). Learning to swim, even the basics, is critical for their safety! We still have openings for lessons!

💙 May is National Trauma Awareness Month, and this week we’re highlighting the importance of water safety.

Drowning is fast.
Drowning is silent.
And it can happen when we least expect it.

As families spend more time near pools, lakes, and beaches, taking simple precautions can save lives. Active supervision, swim lessons, life jackets, pool barriers, and learning CPR are all important layers of protection. Most importantly — never assume someone else is watching.

Please take a few minutes to review these water safety resources from the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and help keep our children, families, and communities safe this summer. 💧
