Well MN deer season is in the books, and while we are optimistic for some Wisconsin hunters to call yet it’s time to acknowledge what an amazing tracking season it has been!!
We met so many amazing people, and got to be part of so many great stories. This year we tracked 235 animals. It had a few milestones hidden in there for us, we got to track our first Elk (a giant at that), we surpassed our 1000th track taken, Bailey moved into semi retirement and Opie took the lions share of tracks and we added a new teammate with Kaiser.
I don’t think I can articulate how much we appreciate the hunters that trust me and my dogs. Sometimes we drop the ball, sometimes we are lights out but that’s tracking. One thing is for sure we are always grateful to the hunting community for the opportunity to help when we can. I did my best to get to everyone I could and apologize if I left anyone hanging this season.
Tracking season is 121 days and we tracked almost all of those days, I already miss early November when we were doing 8 tracks a day.
Lastly I want to acknowledge the tracker community, the ones doing it for the right reasons and putting hunters first. We even got to meet up and run tracks together which I absolutely love. Love those trackers out there grinding and helping the folks that need it.
Thank you again to everyone we got to meet this year and we can’t wait for bear opener in 2026!!
