🚨 Wamego Aquatic Center Update 🚨

4:45 UPDATE- Due to projected weather forecasts, the outdoor pool will remain closed the remainder of the day. Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope to see everyone tomorrow!

Due to weather conditions, the Wamego Aquatic Center Outdoor Pool will be closing today at 3:00 PM.

We will reevaluate conditions at 5:00 PM to determine whether evening activities will take place, including:

🏊 Night Swim Lessons
🏊 Swim Team Practice
🌙 Night Swim

🇺🇸 July 4th Week Schedule at the Wamego Aquatic Center 🇺🇸

As Wamego gets ready for a week of carnival fun, fireworks, and Independence Day celebrations, there are a few schedule changes to be aware of at the Aquatic Center.

🏊 Outdoor Pool
📅 June 29th–July 3rd
⏰ Open 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
🚫 No Night Swim

Water Walking and Swim Team Practice will continue as scheduled.

🏊 Indoor Pool
📅 June 29th–July 3rd
⏰ Open 6:00 AM–5:00 PM
🚫 Will not re-open after aerobics

Water Aerobics will continue as scheduled.

💦 Splash Park
📅 June 29th–July 3rd
⏰ Open 8:00 AM–6:00 PM

🇺🇸 July 4th Closure
The Indoor Pool, Outdoor Pool, and Splash Park will all be closed on July 4th so our staff can enjoy the holiday with their families.

🚗 Please Note:
Carnival setup and road closures may begin as early as Friday, June 26th. Access to Aquatic Center parking may be limited during the week, so please plan accordingly.

⚠️ Weather Update ⚠️

6:00 update- The weather forecast looks like it's going to be clear for night swim. We hope to see you all soon for night swim!!

Unfortunately, due to lightning in the area, the pool is temporarily closed.

We are planning to reopen for Night Swim, weather permitting. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates on this post as they become available.

🏊‍♀️ Pool Opening Delayed 🏊‍♂️

Due to the Wamego Waves Swim Meet, the Wamego Aquatic Center outdoor pool will open at 2:00 PM today, Saturday, June 13.

We appreciate your patience as we support our local swim team and wish all of the athletes the best of luck at today’s meet!

We’ll see you at the pool this afternoon! ☀️💦

As of 10:15, we are going to reopen the indoor pool at 10:45. Private Swim Lessons are a go at 11am.

As of 9:45AM (6/10/26) we are closed due to lightning!

On days like today, when the weather is a bit unpredictable, we ask patrons to check the weather before heading our way.

Our weather policy states that if lightning strikes within a 15-mile radius, we must close for 30 minutes. We will try to keep this post updated, but you can always check the weather here:

Wamego Aquatic Center is closed due to lightning. We will NOT be re-opening for day swim or indoor. Opening for the Pool Party is still to be determined. Hope you can come swim with us tomorrow!
