Buckskin Bow Club and Sugar Ridge Archery are joining together for a Tuesday night 3D League. The league will start at 6pm Tuesday, 4/9/2024 at Buckskin. Entry fee is $30 per shooter, with 100% going to payouts at the end, and $10 each week to shoot. $8 will go to the clubs and $2 will go to payout each week to a league shooter in a smoker round of some kind. The league will run for 8 weeks with a shootoff on the 9th week. We will be rotating weeks between Buckskin and Sugar Ridge. You must shoot at least 3 rounds at each club to be eligible for the shootoff. The shoot off will be a 3 person blind draw team shoot. There will be the opportunity to make up rounds at each club on a different night but we encourage everyone to shoot on Tuesday if possible. We will have the rules at the clubs to hand out. Fun shooters will be allowed at the host club each week for a $10 fee per shooter. If you have any questions please message either club!

All targets have been cleaned, painted and have new cores for the KY state ASA shoot in 2 weeks. The lanes have been trimmed and mowed and will be touched up again before the shoot. A lot of work is going into making this one of the top 3D courses in the tri-state. Good luck to everyone and get out to SUGAR RIDGE Archery and enjoy the weekend.
Remember, camping is available and needs to be RSVP. Be sure to stick around Saturday evening for the live band, food and beverages. Family event with stuff to do with the kids.

State Shoot Tuesday

If you are shooting for shooter of the year or planning on winning the belt buckle for your class at the state shoot please make sure your account with the ASA is payed and active when you show up for the shoot. We will check on the ASA page if your are active as you come through registration. If you are inactive your scores will not count for the state shoot but you may still shoot for fun. But please make sure just in case it has expired and you don’t know it. Looking forward to seeing you guys net weekend.

It is state shoot Tuesday and as we start the final preparations on the range and at Sugar Ridge we would like to thank all the archers that made it here and to all the other clubs in Kentucky to shoot the qualifiers. Here at Sugar Ridge we have noticed a lot of new archers that have signed up for ASA and shot their first qualifiers here. We would like to welcome all the new archers and love to see the sport grow. I have posted a link below that explains how to score an ASA target. Also for all the new shooters please get with one of your local clubs or feel free to reach out to one of us with any questions you may have about target Etiquette and what to expect when you show up for the state shoot. Please arrive early for plenty of time to ask any questions you need and get familiar with what is happening when you show up for the state shoot. We would also like to ask everyone who is planning on shooting state please preregister when it opens up later this week. Thank you and see ya soon.

State is come up soon. A lot of you have been to Sugar Ridge to shoot the qualifiers and for the league’s. But for all that have not, here is a map of how we are laying it out. If you are camping this year I need you to send us a message and get signed up for a spot ASAP. For those that are camping we will have a small breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights until 10:00 pm. The camping area will not have electric or water hook ups. So please plan accordingly. There will be a hose to fill your storage tanks if you should run out or need to fill small bottles. Camping spots are $15.00 per night and we are asking that all campers make reservations with us at least two days before the shoot. Please feel free to bring your whole family and make a weekend out of it. We have bounce houses and a playground for the kids as well as shaved ice. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Don’t forget Tuesday night league. Weather looks perfect for flinging some arrows. Come out and shoot for fun for only $10 bucks. Chef Shawn will be on the grill cooking up some burgers. Great practice for the London Pro/Am in few weeks.

League night is on for tonight. We are not canceling the rain has moved out on radar and spotty if any. Come on out for a fun shoot if you are not in the leage we will start a little after 5pm.
