“David replied to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’”
1 Samuel 17:45

David’s battle with Goliath happened in a single day, but his preparation had been taking place for years. David was still a young shepherd, not a trained soldier, while Goliath was a seasoned warrior who had fought many battles. From the outside, David seemed completely overmatched.

What Goliath did not know was that David had already learned to trust God in private before he ever stood on a public battlefield. While caring for his father’s sheep, David fought off a lion and a bear. Those victories taught him that God was faithful and powerful enough to deliver him from any enemy. Every challenge David faced became preparation for the giant standing in front of him.

When David walked onto the battlefield, he carried only a sling and a few stones, but he also carried something far greater: confidence in God. He knew the battle would not be won by human strength, weapons, or experience. It would be won by the power of the Lord.

Are you facing a giant in your life today? Maybe it is a financial struggle, a health issue, a broken relationship, or a problem that seems impossible to overcome. Remember that the same God who helped David defeat Goliath is still working today. The battles you have already walked through were preparing you for the challenge you are facing now.

David’s victory did not begin when he threw the stone. It began long before that through his faithfulness, worship, obedience, and relationship with God. The preparation is what positioned him for victory.

Stay faithful. Stay close to God. Trust Him in the small things, and He will strengthen you for the big things. The giant may look intimidating, but with God on your side, victory is possible.

Have a great day! God bless you!

“Then you put a leader over us. We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭66‬:‭12‬

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by life? Like you’re drowning in sorrow, stress, debt, or anxiety? Maybe it feels like the fires of life keep getting hotter and hotter. God reminds us in this verse that we may go through fire and flood, but He is leading us somewhere greater. There is abundance on the other side of what you’re facing.

Too often we get stuck in the middle of the struggle. We settle into the pain, fear, or frustration and begin to believe that’s where we will always be. But today, remember this: you are not staying there forever. You are going THROUGH it! God is still moving, still working, and still leading you forward.

Make this your prayer today:
Lord, life feels heavy right now and these valleys seem deep, but I trust that You are bringing me through this season. Your Word says You have good plans for me, and I believe You are leading me into a place of blessing and abundance. Help me keep my eyes on You and give me strength to keep moving forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

May the favor, peace, and blessings of God fill your life today. Keep moving forward because God is taking you somewhere!

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭3‬-‭4‬

Happy Memorial Day! 🇺🇸

Today, let us pause and remember the men and women who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy every day. They chose sacrifice over comfort and service over self so others could live in peace and freedom.

As believers, sacrifice should point our hearts back to Jesus. The greatest act of love was not only on a battlefield, but on the cross. Jesus willingly gave His life so we could be forgiven, healed, and made new. He laid down everything because of His great love for us.

Today, pray for the families who have lost loved ones in service to our country and pray for peace, protection, and strength over those serving right now.

Let this day also challenge us to live less for ourselves and more for Christ and others. A life surrendered to Jesus will love deeply, serve humbly, and carry His light everywhere it goes.

As Martin Luther King Jr. once said:
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God such men lived!”

May we never forget those who gave everything for our freedom and the Savior who gave everything for our salvation.

God bless you, your family, and America today.

“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”
Ephesians 6:18

Charles Spurgeon was once asked which is more important: reading the Bible or prayer. His response was, “Which is more important, breathing in or breathing out?”

Reading God’s Word is like breathing in. Prayer is like breathing out. We need both to truly live spiritually healthy lives.

The same is true with salvation and discipleship. Salvation is receiving what God has done for us. Discipleship is pouring out what He has placed inside of us. We were never meant to only take in and never give out.

Think about breathing for a moment. If you only breathe in and never exhale, eventually you will die. The same thing can happen spiritually when we constantly receive but never pour into others through prayer, encouragement, love, and sharing the goodness of God.

As you spend time with God today, don’t just take in His presence. Take time to pour out His grace, mercy, and love over your family, your community, and the people around you.

Pray boldly. Pray consistently. Pray with faith. Make room in your life to both breathe in what God is speaking and breathe out what He is doing in your heart.

I pray you experience the presence of God in a powerful way today. Have a blessed day!
