This is for people with "problem" horses and/or for those who are wanting to learn the basics in training and handling. (with your horse or ours) lessonsI help either here or on sight with the owner and the horse. I help figure out what the "problem" is by talking with the owner and watching the horse and owner working together. I help both the horse and owner by giving them the knowledge in "rea

ding" each others body language so they better understand each other. I will help find each of their strengths and weakness to be able to be a successful team on the trail or what ever events they choose to be involved in. training lessons also cover this same information. along with general horsemanship and care for our horses. So happy Waylon is home and alive. I am beyond grateful for all the things that came together for him to be here.

Today was his real first day of real exercise out of the stall in over a month 👀

Today he had his pedicure he was over due for as well, he was not his usual self. Acted out on his back feet. So I need to figure out if he is hurting, or if he just wanted to be an as***le because he was wound up and ready for more exercise

He went for a walk with me and visited the pasture. He sent the whole herd running away when he started blowing air. He can't whinny or squeal, just blows hot air out his Holy hole 😂

He is still beautiful to me with his oversized neck and blow hole.

Grateful Waylon is alive and back home.

🛑⚠️ Gross stuff in pictures. So don't look if you can't handle it.

New fears on ways horses can try to unalive themselves.

A new experience and journey in caring for a horse with a permanent trach.

I mean, I have nightmares of the things that can fall or crawl into his trach ..... I want to put a screen on it.
I have so many questions...... And no one to answer them. Waylon is an anomaly in the fact he is still alive. I have no idea for how long. Maybe a few days, or it could be many years.
I will take any and all moments and days I can with him.

What happened? We assume he got his head caught in the fencing. (Round pen)

His larenex is damaged due to the swelling from the jugular veins and trauma around his head.
One jugular vein is ok and good to be able to use for intravenous meds. The other vein is swollen and permanently damaged. . . We actually won't know anything about anything till we live it.
My assumption of the problems he has with swelling and scar tissue won't be as deadly as any more damage or stress on his jugular vein.

Then....are there any complications in healing and care from just being outside being a horse?
Can I ruin it? Can he drown standing in the rain? Could it ice over in a winter storm. The flies .......

Do I ride him? Do I use him for breeding? Do I keep him as a pampered house pet?
What do I do?

Well .... Right now he is home and in horsey prison. He can't be anywhere he can put his head through or over a fence . So right now I am his barn warden where he stays in his cell until I take him out to play in the yard. . . .

* Waylon has a whorl at the base of his neck. The whorl is a cross ✝️ .
And this all started Easter weekend 👀
So now when I get mad at him I tell him to blow it out his Holy hole 🤷😂
