Lawrence County Shooting Sports

I need to know if any of you want to or have time to shoot trap this year with 4H. Please respond back whenever you have time, so I will know. There is a competition in February, that I will attach to this for your consideration. There are 5 people in a squad. So the cost to enter would be divided up and need to be payed by each participant. I think it would be about $10 a piece.

Remind your club members we need to know who is coming to Christmas party just a whole # for their family so we can order enough food!!

Guys don't forget to call us or email at [email protected] and let us know you’re coming so we can get a good head count for the pizza order!!!!
We will meet on December 14th with all the clubs at the Lawrence County 4-H Christmas Party at 5pm. It will be at Main St Church of Christ Annex. We will be ordering pizza for the kids so if you plan to attend please call and let Emily Burgess (870-886-3741) know how many from your family will be attending so we order enough.
Also we are going to have the kids play a gift swap game. If they wish to play just bring an gift $10 or less that both a girl or boy can receive. We will also play some other games and give time for all the kids to get to know one another.

The Lawrence County 4H Shooting Sports club has been practicing regularly preparing for a competition on October 30th. Although this upcoming competition is trap only 4H Shooting Sports offers youth the opportunity to participate in other shooting disciplines such as archery, light rifle, pistol, and muzzleloading.
This year the club received a new s***t thrower that will be used to replace an old thrower that is approximately 10 years old. The trap machine was purchased through a grant received by the club from the NRA Foundation.
4H Shooting Sports is open to all youth between the ages of 9-19. If you have a child that might be interested in joining this club or if you are an adult that would be interested in becoming an instructor please call the Lawrence County Extension Office at 886-3741.

Do I have anyone from the shooting sports club that could help work a booth at the county fair rodeo on the evening of Saturday August 21 in Imboden? This would be for a fund raiser for ammunition (etc) for next season.

Arkansas 4-H is going a virtual shooting sports quiz bowl. If anyone is interested call the extension office.
They have to register by the 8th .

Enjoy your summer and will start back practicing one of these days.
