Thank you National Speakers Association, Northern California Chapter for awarding me the 2024 Patricia Fripp Leadership Award. This award is given in recognition of extraordinary contribution to the chapter. Named in honor of the chapter’s founding leader, Patricia Fripp Presentation Skills Expert, the “Frippy” is awarded for many years of outstanding service, and is not awarded every year. Previous recipients include Craig Harrison, Janelle Barlow, CSP, PhD, and Barry Wishner.

This award is especially meaningful to me as Patricia has become a good friend, mentor, and NSA Conference travelling companion.

There are many reasons I love being a member of National Speakers Association, such as the elite educational opportunities about the craft of speaking as well as the business. Also, the friendships and support cannot be minimized. As a matter fact, if it weren’t for Patricia, I would not have become the chapter president (2022 – 2023).

Most importantly I would not be the speaker and facilitator I am today, helping organizations manage stress to prevent hashtag , if it weren’t for NSA, the Northern California chapter, and my wonderful clients.

There are many people I wish to thank, too numerous to mention here but I appreciate each & every one of you. I would be remiss, however, if I did not mention a few. In addition to Patricia, I am grateful to my mentors and friends, such as Susan RoAne, Motivational Speaker Kelly Swanson, Mary Kelly, Commander, USN, CSP, CPAE, Jermaine Davis, Craig Harrison, Allison S. I am so looking forward to keynoting the annual conference of the California Sanitation Risk Management Authority as part of the California Association of Sanitation Agencies.

CASA is the leading California association dedicated to advancing wastewater interests, including the recycling of wastewater into usable water, generation of renewable energy, biosolids and other valuable resources. Through their efforts, they help create a clean and sustainable environment for California. CASA represents more than 130 local public agencies.

I am honored to be their keynote speaker in the gorgeous City of Monterey California, one of my favorite places.
