The Walnut Creek Disc Golf Club will soon be rebranding and reorganizing itself as Devil Mountain Disc Golf, a community organization non-profit.
Now, here's where you come in...
The club will be electing board members to adminster and oversee the activities of the club, with respect to both Walden Park and the new Hillcrest Park course in Concord.
If you are interested in being a part of shaping the future of disc golf in the East Bay/Contra Costa County, I encourage you to nominate yourself or someone else as an officer of the club.
We will be holding elections at the end of this month and anyone who has played in at least two weeklies in the last year is eligible to vote and/or be elected.
The following board positions are available:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Course Manager

Here is a brief description of the duties of each officer:
President
• Will be the chief executive of the DMDGC and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Club
• Will schedule and preside over meetings of the Board as needed.
• Will sign all legal documents
• Will schedule and coordinate local tournaments with approval by the Board
• Will serve as the primary interface with the regional disc golf community and municipal entities
Vice President
• Will assist the President with day-to-day operations of the Club
• Will serve key supportive role in local tournaments
• Will help coordinate communications to DMDGC members
• Will be main marketing contact, being responsible for Club merchandise and fostering sponsors
Treasurer
• Will account for all Club finances
• Will maintain the Club’s bank account
• Will prepare tax and legal filings
• Will keep track of membership roster
Secretary
• Will be responsible for ensuring proper and effective communications on Club social media
• Will be responsible for scheduling, organizing and coalescing agenda items for Board meetings
• Will record and disseminate the agenda, minutes, and notes from Club meetings
• Will respond to public inquiries
• Will be the primary interface with Town officials
Course Manager
• Will be responsible for proper maintenance of all course equipment, including baskets, tee pads, signage, etc
• Will ensure appropriate use and maintenance of the club house
• Will be responsible for coordinating course setup and clean up for all tournaments
• Will coordinate course improvement projects
