This past Saturday some of the team and guest, were invited to compete with the Middle Tennessee Council Scouting with their annual fundraiser. These kids had a blast. One of the teams placed 1st and they are so proud, just look at those faces. Cam, Aden, Ethan, Brayden and Ben couldn't be happier. B from Grundy Co., placed 3rd and the other team had a 3-way tie for 3rd.

We appreciate the invite because we look forward to this event. We always have such a fun time.

We have finally made it...State Invitations TN 4-H Shooting Sports

We spent the weekend at Crossville Shooting Sports Park for the competition. These guys worked hard to get here. It was a rough day because it rained all day. These guys managed to keep their focus while being wet and slightly cool. While they didn't place as highly as they wanted there is room for improvement and we will have to work on that. I am very proud of these young men. Not only can they pull it together and be serious but they have a blast having fun with each other. This was a great season but we are at the end. Stay tuned to our new season starting in October.

We are another week closer to the Invitationals. We decided to work on some sporting clays this weekend at Crossville Shooting Sports Park . Our timing couldn't have been better, we managed to miss the rain while we practiced. Not everyone was able to show but there were a few visitors. They had fun while some trash talk was on the sidelines. Just a few more opportunities for practices remain, keep following for their updates.

Feeling proud this week. We got a visitor Sunday when we opened the files for a practice. Jayden came in for a visit with family and wanted to visit us. For those who don't know, he is one of two that enlisted with the military when they graduated. It was really good to see him.

Today we started the practice for the 4-H Invitationals. We have a short time to get ready for this competition, but we have planned for a few special practices away as well some home sessions. We will hone in on some problem areas while we have fun doing it. Enjoy our journey.

That's a Wrap! Our End Of Season Pizza Party was enjoyed by all! They shot till you couldn't see any more.
The kids pictured at the beginning were awarded with new shot towels for their vest. They ALL had broke 1000+ clays over the course of the season.
The games that were played were Blackout, (our fave) Wait and See, and Sporting Clays (only 4 stations)
After that, it started getting too dark. No prizes were on the line but Bragging rights is real. I am so fortunate to have these kids on my team. They are great and I will always leave laughing at least one of them. I look forward to see how they grow over the summer. Where it is the end of the season for some of them, I still have some that will stay on a practice schedule for Invitations in August. Stayed tuned for those updates.
