Walkerton Parks is excited to introduce Kristin Rust, who will officially begin serving as our Parks Superintendent tomorrow!
Kristin is a proud wife and mother of two boys, and her family has been a part of the Walkerton community and Walkerton Parks for many years. Both of Kristin’s boys have been involved with the park since the boys were just 5 years old, giving Kristin a firsthand understanding of the important role our parks and programs play in the lives of local families.
Kristin is highly organized, responsive, and knowledgeable about sports and our current park programs. She is someone who enjoys taking on challenges, finding solutions, and getting things done. Her experience as a parent of two very active kids has also given her a strong understanding of the importance of youth sports and recreational opportunities in our community.
Both of Kristin’s boys attend John Glenn and are three-sport athletes, so if Kristin isn’t working at the park, there’s a good chance you’ll find her at a sporting event cheering them on! When she does get some downtime, she enjoys taking walks, camping, traveling to vacation hot spots, reading, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
Kristin is excited to get started and looks forward to making a positive impact on the Walkerton community. We believe she will be an excellent addition to the Walkerton Parks team, and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes!
