Due to some recent cancelations, I have a few days in August I am looking to fill with muskie trips. So far the 2025 muskie season is off to a good start. Fantastic morning out of Horseshoe Bay Lodge on Leech Lake. A limit of walleyes and a couple more big ones that were thrown back. The warmer and more stable weather has really improved the bite the last few days.

Each year Leech Lake Guide Team LLC partners with Acorn Hill Resort on Leech Lake to put on a week long learning experience called Camp Walleye. Camp Walleye is catered to people who want to learn the ins and outs of all things walleye related. Camp Walleye is a great way to learn about how to read your electronics, fish catching techniques, and fish locations.

Horseshoe Bay Lodge on Leech Lake is located on the “main lake” portion of Leech Lake. These fish came on rock to sand transition lines. I have 6 dates left in July. Looking to fill the 11, 13, 22, 23, 30 and 31. Let me know if you would like any of these dates.

I’ve been slacking on posting lately, but the bite on leech Lake has been improving and has gotten pretty recently. Moving around to find active bitters has been key. Walleyes and sunfish have been plentifully with a few crappies mixed in as well. I have a couple of morning trips open this coming week if anyone is looking to do some fishing while on vacation over the 4th!
