Dermestids only eat organic tissue — never bone or antlers.

It sure does feels strange sometimes having 10,000 flesh eating beetles in the shed though 😅

Mount Tip Monday.... Don’t Boil That Skull!!

We see a lot of folks throwing a skull in a pot and hoping for the best. Boiling weakens bone, traps grease, and causes yellowing down the road.

Reality is this... you can get away with it... and a lot of people do! But a lot of people dont....Is it really work the risk of damaging your trophy?

Professional European mounters use slow, controlled cleaning so they stay white and solid for years.
That buck deserves better than the turkey burner!!

Can you tell which one has already had a few dunks in the whitening solution?

***Beetles are not particulare about what they eat! We will do the skull of any animal. Squirrels, hogs, bear, deer, coyote, fox etc. Just hit me up for a price***
