Ready to join? Incorporated in 1969, Smallwood Village Swim Club (SVSC) is a well established provider of summer fun for families in Southern Maryland. Tucked away on over nine wooded acres in Charles County, Smallwood provides a relaxing retreat where you can while away the day poolside, picnic with family and friends, play a few sets of tennis, get together for volleyball, and of course swim!

An urgent message to our Smallwood family

We sincerely apologize for the delay and for the uncertainty surrounding our reopening this weekend. We know many of you have been looking forward to getting back in the pool, and we are truly sorry that we have not been able to make that happen.

Unfortunately, we are once again experiencing challenges with our pool filtration system. The ongoing issues are making it extremely difficult to maintain the clean, clear water that our members deserve.

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to remain closed for the remainder of the 2026 season.

This is not the news we wanted to share, and we know it is disappointing. Please know that this decision was not made lightly. The health and safety of our members must always come first, and we do not feel comfortable reopening until we can be confident that the pool can be properly maintained.

We are incredibly grateful for your patience, understanding, and continued support of Smallwood. We are a membership-run club, and we truly appreciate everyone who has supported us throughout this challenging season.

We are already looking ahead and working toward solutions so that we can come back stronger and better prepared for next season.

Thank you for being part of the Smallwood family. We are so sorry that this summer did not go as we had hoped, and we look forward to seeing everyone back at the pool next season!

We will unfortunately have to close the remainder of the day today 9/5 due to pool cleanup. We anticipate opening on time tomorrow 9/6.

OPENING UPDATE FOR SATURDAY

Due to the storms that came through yesterday and the pending forecast, we will have a delayed opening to allow for extra clean up time.

The pool will open at 4:00pm this afternoon.

Please note that our BBQ will now take place tomorrow from 1-4!

URGENT! Due to the forecast for today we moved the event to tomorrow from 1-4!

💦☀️ Come out this Saturday, September 5th from 1–4 PM and celebrate the end of summer with Smallwood!

Bring your friends & family and join us for food, fun, a Cannonball Contest, and great memories by the pool! 🏊‍♀️

When: Saturday, September 5th from 1-4 (Pool Hours 12-8)
Cost: Pool entry fee is $15 per person or $45 per 3-6 people
