Overcast skies and rain have helped cool things down here in North Park. We were out with Stan and Thad on a beautiful stretch of our club waters and managed to fool these and many other toothy Browns into taking our fly. Thanks for joining the club and fishing with us guys!

All the lakes are open and fishing great. Many of the smaller streams are still pretty high but have clarity and are fishing great. It's time to get up here and fish!

Hi all, I will be down at the Denver Fly Fishing show this weekend starting Friday the 8, 9, and 10th tying at the Umpqua booth. I'll be focusing on my patterns currently offered by Umpqua which include a couple of my go to flies for the Delaney Buttes. We will have these patterns available in the shop this year along with many other new flies and gear, so stop by and talk fishing, north park, brown trout and the shop! Here is my time block for the booth: Friday 3-4:30pm, Saturday 9-10:30am, Sunday 9-10:30am.

The season is near! Right now as we write this report it is a beautiful sunny windy day here in North Park, which means lots of water should be opening and getting fishy. This is what we need for the club lakes to open up, and next week could be a great time to experience an epic ice off situation. All of the rivers are open, and are day to day with clarity. With more sun and wind in the forecast the river levels could come up and get dirty, but we will keep you posted. It literally is different every day right now. The club will officially open on April 1st. For now the North Fork, Michigan, Norris Creek, and Illinois will have open fish-able water and soon the lakes will start to open up. If you plan on coming up we encourage you to call the shop and we’ll give you the latest report on conditions. We’ll see ya soon!!!

Is it really August already?  There is still snow in the high country and the rivers have finally come down to comfortable wading levels so it seems unreal that it's actually August.  Don't get us wrong this has been a great summer but with fishing this good we just don't want it to end.
