As we close out another baseball season, I’ve been reflecting a lot on what this organization truly means to our community. At the heart of it all, it’s never just been about baseball. It’s about giving our kids a place to grow, learn, build confidence, make memories, and feel the support of an entire community behind them.
This season had its ups and downs, as every season does, but one thing that never changed was the dedication from so many people who stepped up and gave their time, energy, and hearts to make it happen.
To our coaches, thank you. Thank you for the hours spent at practices, the long nights at the ball fields, the patience, the teaching, and the commitment you gave these kids. The impact you make goes far beyond wins and losses. These kids will carry those lessons with them long after the season is over.
To our umpires, thank you for showing up, game after game, and being a part of this program. Your role is so important, and we appreciate you more than you know.
To our players, thank you for giving it your all, for showing heart, for learning, growing, and reminding all of us why we do this in the first place. Watching you build friendships, overcome challenges, and simply love the game is what makes it all worth it.
To our families, thank you for the car rides, the late dinners, the countless hours at the fields, and for trusting us with your kids. Youth sports don’t happen without families who show up, cheer loud, and support not only their own kids but each other.
A special thank you to our village for all the field prep and behind-the-scenes work. The mowing, dragging, lining fields, fixing things, and making sure our kids had a place to play, those things matter more than people realize, and this season wouldn’t have happened without it.
To my husband, thank you for your endless love, support, encouragement, and understanding through all the stress, long days, and everything in between. You’ve been by my side through it all, and I’m beyond thankful.
To Ashley, thank you for being the kind of partner every association hopes for. Your dedication, teamwork, and willingness to always jump in has meant so much. It’s a lot of work, and I’m grateful to have walked through it with you.
To my brother Joel, thank you for always staying on top of our umpires and helping keep things running smoothly. You are always just a phone call away when i need help with something or advice and i appreciate you more than you know!
Mason, Aaliyah, and Sarah, thank you for stepping up in concessions whenever we needed you. Those moments of just jumping in to help are what community is all about. And to all of the other helpers who stepped up as well.
To all of our board members, your ongoing support and commitment never goes unnoticed. I appreciate you all for stepping up when needed and for keeping me sane!
And to everyone else, whether you volunteered, helped clean up, prepped fields, or simply showed up to support, thank you. It takes a village to keep community baseball alive.
Thank you for making this season one to remember. The good moments outweigh the not so good moments and every year we are learning and growing!
We’re proud of what we’ve built together, year after year, and we’re already looking ahead to making next season even stronger.
