Blacktop is a recreational outdoor summer basketball program for boys and girls entering grades 5-8. The program runs two mornings per week from early July through late August and is staffed by members of the Wakefield High Varsity Basketball Team.

We FINALLY did it! We have officially transferred all of our 'paperwork' and management over to the new and improved Wakefield Rec Department under the direction of Dan McGrath.

What does that mean for Blacktop participants? You get the same great coaches and the same great program but now you don't have to worry about running down to the civic center on some crazed evening between dinner and little league to register.

They say all good things come in threes - if you register today you can (1) save money on the registration, (2) do something healthy for yourself, and (3) support the Wakefield High School Cross Country and Track and Field Programs.

Entry Fees: before Sept 6th $15 adult $15 kids, before Oct 6th $20 adult $15 kids, after Oct 6th $25 adult and $15 kids, Day of registration $30 adult $15 kids

Thanks to everyone for another GREAT summer of hoops at JJ Rounds. A special shout out to Eric Nikosey for running the day-to-day program and the WMHS youth coaches Brian Dickey, Tighe Beck, Robby Vozella, MJ Urbano and Joe DiFazio for helping out.
