Having a "good" bench doesn't just happen through building strength. Benching is a skill that needs to be practiced. If you follow these 3 steps once a week on your push day your bench numbers will blow up guaranteed. Even if you feel like you're plateauing this is a must try. I took my bench from 335 (195lbs body weight) to 345 (180 lbs body weight). Give this a try!!

Slow eccentrics can never be a bad thing, but you don’t necessarily need them. TUT (time under tension) does not stimulate any more muscle growth than doing a regular 1-2 second tempo rep and it fatigues you faster with less mechanical tension so it’s honestly not the best option for hypertrophy.

From a performance standpoint slow eccentrics are a staple. They have numerous benefits as explained in the video.
