What exactly is Yin Yoga—and why do people leave class feeling so different afterward?

Yin Yoga is often mistaken for restorative yoga, but it's actually its own unique practice. By holding poses for several minutes, we create an opportunity to explore mobility, mindfulness, and stillness in a way that many of us rarely experience in daily life.

While Yin works with the body's deeper connective tissues, many students discover that the practice also creates space mentally and emotionally.

Whether you're looking to improve mobility, complement your strength training, reduce stress, or simply slow down for an hour, Yin Yoga offers a different approach than most fitness and yoga classes.

Week Two on the Clinical Side! 🩺✨

I’ve officially stepped into my new role with the incredible Duke Heart team at Duke University Hospital! 💙

For those who know my background, returning to the clinical side feels like a beautiful full-circle moment. It allows me to perfectly blend my clinical roots with everything I love about movement, behavior modification, and lifestyle coaching.

What does this mean for my coaching and fitness community?

Don’t worry—I am absolutely still here to keep you moving! While my full-time schedule is at the hospital, I’ve locked in a dedicated routine to stay active with you:

​🗓️ Saturdays: Available for limited, dedicated personal training sessions.

​☀️ Sunday Mornings: Catch me leading a group fitness class at O2 Fitness Clubs Park Place location in Morrisville! 🏋️‍♀️

​🌅 Weekday Mornings & Future Evenings: Keeping select, limited early weekday mornings, with plans to add some evening group fitness classes down the road with Raleigh Parks!

Stepping back into cardiology is only going to fuel my passion for true injury prevention, metabolic conditioning, and sustainable weight management from the inside out.

I am so honored to be part of an incredible team of instructors working with Raleigh Parks to bring the Glen Eden Pilot Park community center back to life! This project is all about transforming this space into a vibrant Community Wellness Hub, and we want YOU to be the heartbeat of it.

Whether you're looking to find your flow, clear your mind, or just get moving with your neighbors, there is a place for everyone here.

✨ What to Expect:

• Variety of Activities: Explore fitness, yoga, mindfulness, and wellness sessions.
• Community Connection: A space designed to help you move, connect, and feel your best.
• Expert Guidance: Classes led by a diverse group of passionate local instructors (including me!).
