We’re excited to welcome our 2026 Summer Instructors to the D-BAT Wake Forest family!
⚾ CHRIS KATZ | Outfielder 2026 SOCON Player of the Year Mercer University Raleigh native and Heritage HS alum who hit .386 with 23 home runs and 74 RBI this season for the Bears. One of the most dominant hitters in college baseball this year and he’s here this summer.
⚾ JAKE NORRIS | Assistant Coach at William Peace University A Wake Forest kid himself, Norris played his college ball right here at WPU before transitioning to the coaching side. He knows what it takes to develop at the collegiate level.
⚾ GAVIN LAUER | LHP Delaware Valley University A lefty out of New Jersey bringing a live arm and a pitcher’s mentality to every session. Currently competing at the college level and ready to pass that knowledge on to the next generation.
⚾ ALEX MOORING | Pitcher #2 Ranked University of Lynchburg Part of one of the most dominant programs in the country this season, the Hornets went 40-8-1 and reached the NCAA Super Regionals. That winning culture is coming to Wake Forest.

Support One of Our Own ❤️

In 2020, Levi was diagnosed with high-risk T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at just four years old.

After an incredibly brave fight, he beat cancer and rang the bell on November 27, 2022.

Today, Levi is back on the field doing what he loves—playing baseball and training right here at D-BAT.

This week only (May 3–May 9):
⚾ 50% of all cage rentals will be donated to support blood cancer research and Levi’s journey.

These camps are designed to give players consistent, structured work throughout the week. Each day is planned to maximize reps and keep players engaged, with a clear focus on development across all areas of the game.

Players will rotate through hitting, fielding, speed & agility, and controlled competition 🏃‍♂️💨 The goal is to build a routine where they’re improving through repetition while also learning how to apply those skills in game-like situations.

We prioritize organization and structure so each session runs with purpose. From swings to defensive work to movement training, the focus stays on quality reps and steady development from start to finish.

This is a strong option for players looking to stay active during the summer, build better habits, and get consistent work in over the course of the week.

Wyatt is heading back to the Mariners organization to continue his playing career, and we’re incredibly grateful for the time he spent with us at D-BAT. ⚾

From his first day in the facility, Wyatt brought a professional approach, a positive attitude, and a genuine care for every player he worked with. Whether it was a one-on-one lesson or a full camp group, he made sure each kid felt encouraged, supported, and excited to keep improving. His presence on the floor was steady, upbeat, and exactly what you want from someone representing your program. 💙

He did a great job connecting with players of all ages and skill levels, and his impact went far beyond just the drills he ran. Wyatt was a great teammate to the staff, a strong example for the players, and a meaningful part of what we’re building here every day. ⚾

We’re proud to have had him in the facility and thankful for everything he gave to our players and families. Now it’s time for him to get back to work on the field, and we can’t wait to follow along as he continues to climb the ladder in the Mariners system. 🚀

Good luck this season, Wyatt. We’ll be cheering you on from back home. ⚾💙
