Be Strong

Margo is a strong advocate of exercise and fitness, which are powerful tools for building character, confidence and connections. A running injury in 1998 opened her eyes to the challenges and possibilities of Triathlon. It was a slow, painful start as a novice that developed into a tremendous passion for the sport. To her being strong means mental toughness, overcoming adversity and ef

fective training. Be Fast

Over the last 15 years Margo has competed in a diverse set of race experiences across numerous competitive environments. From 5K’s to marathons to on-road triathlons to off-road Xterra races, she enjoys the camaraderie and physical challenges these events offer. To her being fast means building experience through stimulation, efficiency, tenacity and acceleration. Be Ready

The diversity of Margo’s experience has given her a unique perspective on the world of racing and taught her the value of stepping out of the box and taking on new challenges. She has been blessed with a number of dedicated coaches who have inspired and prepared her for a coaching career. Over the last several years she has coached all levels of athletes and race distances ranging from sprint to Ironman. To her being ready means setting goals, effective preparation, accountability and feedback. Margo Pitts loves to coach and enjoys motivating others to reach their true potential. She believes that anything is possible with training, dedication, effort and commitment. Margo finds that all of her athletes have a desire to be stronger, faster and better prepared for their next race, but also have individual areas of improvement they need to focus on too.

Congratulations to my athlete for completing IronMan 70.3 Switzerland last weekend. She did phenomenal considering her demanding job sometimes derailed her training. Your performance was stunning. No one deserves a relaxing week more than you do.

A big congratulations to my athlete Matt Delong who raced his first 140.6 Ironman in Chattanooga yesterday! So proud of all his hard work and determination as he started late with only 4 months of training. His mental toughness and work ethic got him to the finish line with plenty of time to spare.

There is POWER in stepping OUTSIDE of your COMFORT ZONE.
In October I shook things up and ran my first Ultra marathon. There are only 54 more days until the New Year. How will you step out of your box and try something new in 2022?

NEVER say NEVER!
Three years ago I had a nasty mountain bike accident that brought my racing to a screeching holt. Hip issues, a torn labrum and thumb surgery, I was convinced my running days were over. I had been running all of my life and after the accident I could barely walk without pain. Even swimming caused hip pain. Fast forward through one year of rest, PRP injections, more rest, physical therapy, corrective exercises, steroid injections, massage, illiopsoas injections, more rest, chiropractic care, dry needling and strength training I started running again. For the last two years I’ve just been extremely grateful to run 3-6 miles a few times a week. I even resigned myself to thinking my distance running days were over until my friend made me believe I could run an ultra marathon. 😘 For this reason, tears of joy as I crossed the finish line of the 3_of 7_Project 50+K race. 32.5 miles of pure joy!

I know...COVID-19 sucks but don’t let postponed and canceled athletic events and races get you down in this NEW YEAR. Take this opportunity to build the aerobic system, strengthen weaknesses, and come back stronger.

It's time to be setting goals for 2020! Interested in coaching? I'm now accepting new athletes for the New Year.
