Our thoughts and prayers are with the Campbell family and the entire GBI organization 🤍
Update from the family 5/28:
At 6:18pm today Miles was officially declared brain dead. He will be an organ donor. We were told that he could save up to eight lives through the organ donation, and we are confident this is what his parents would have wanted.
Family and friends from both sides of the family want to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts, and tears through this traumatic time.
Tyler, Susie and Miles were loved beyond what can be expressed in words, and they will be missed tremendously.
As many of you have heard by now, there was a tragic accident yesterday in Garner that took the lives of Tyler and Susan Campbell and critically injured their son, Miles. The Campbell family is part of the GBI family, as Miles played on the Trash Pandas in the Pinto league this season. We are absolutely heartbroken for the Campbell family and are praying and thinking about Miles and his team of doctors, the first responders, classmates, teammates, and friends as he battles for his life. We ask you to join us in sending love, prayers, and thoughts to the entire family.
Tonight at 6:00pm, we will host a vigil on Lions Field to show our support for Miles and to remember Tyler and Susan. We invite you all to come gather with your baseball family and the Garner community and spend a few moments in the fellowship of each other.
Wear your GBI jerseys or GBI Gear as a beautiful sign unity and support.
Tonight’s Championship games will still take place as our teams will Play for Miles. Games will be delayed until 7:00pm.
