WPSC is a non-profit ski club with a ski lodge at the foot of the legendary Mad River Glen in Waitsfield, VT. Members of the White Plains Ski Club have been enjoying skiing, winter and summer sports and outings and each other’s company for over 50 years. Skiers and non-skiers alike are invited to join us and discover our spacious and comfortable ski lodge within walking distance to Mad River Glen

Ski area in Waitsfield, VT. The WPSC is a fun and affordable way for you and your family and friends to enjoy skiing in winter and the beautiful Vermont countryside year-round. The lodge sleeps 32 and has large communal kitchen and dining areas, living room, a sunken fireplace, and room for equipment. Many of our members are avid downhill skiers, cyclists, fly fishers, hikers and Vermont enthusiasts. We have new members, “well-established" members and 3rd generation members. Our membership is spread throughout NY, NJ, CT and MA. Meetings are held once or twice a month, October through April, in southern Westchester county, NY.

Our new chef, Joe, cooked the most tasty meal - green salad, baked chicken, green beans, roasted and mashed potatoes, and tiramisu and chocolate cake for dessert. Plus he's a super nice guy who runs the hot food operation at the Hunger Mountain Food Coop in Waterbury. And so nice he cooked it all here

Ski Magazine ranks Mad River Glen the East's #1 resort for the second straight year! Higher ranked than Sugarbush, Stowe Mountain Resort, Okemo, Killington, and Mt Snow. We're biased at WPSC, at our lodge at the base of the mountain. We walk to the lifts and ski home down the Backdoor Trail.

The results are in! These ski areas were voted the best in the East by YOU, our readers, in SKI's Reader Resort Survey.

We got so much done this work weekend at the club at Mad River Glen. Pam and Marlene went to a Waterbury Laundromat to wash all 67 woolen blankets. Vinnie and Dave cleared two trees that had blown down on the Backdoor Trail. Dave retied the Mad River star and strung new lights. Deborah and Pat cleaned out the entrance vestibule and we put down new mats. Plus we found a Jack-in-the-pulpit in the woods behind our lodge.
