Information on how to join for the upcoming tennis season will be posted when available. Usually around the end of April. Marv might set up a group interested in playing singles matches this Spring before the season begins. Info for that will be posted as well. The official summer league usually costs around $35. That includes a can of balls for each match, August singles and doubles tournament, and banquet in September. If your new to the league and wanting to play a little this Spring. Marv and I (Mark Urban) could set up a match to help determine proper group placement for the summer.

Here is some information about indoor tennis at StaFit Gyms in Sartell and Midtown.

On August 21st we had thirteen doubles teams show up to play in the doubles tournament. The teams were split into 2 groups, with the top 4 teams of each group going on to play a standard 3-set semi finals and finals matches.

Trophies will be given to the winning teams at the end of the year banquet.

Summer 2020 Tennis Group – Wow! – that went fast. This is the wrap-up for the summer. Thanks for being part of this group.

Interesting numbers:

We started with 14 and ended up with 20 members plus 1 on injured reserve
6 people joined who have not been part of the league in the past. I will pass your info on to Al Watkins so you can be part of the real St Cloud Men’s Tennis League next year….hopefully.
128 matches were played
40 matches went to 3 sets
1 match went to the Max! 6-7, 7-6, 7-6
Pat was involved with 9 3 setters – how is that possible?

Tennis Group – I plan to run a playoff format for the weekly schedule during the last part of the summer. So even if you have not been involved with this group to this point, but would like to be part of the playoff format, just let me know and I will include you when we start that draw.

The Chairmen who weighed in have reached a unified, though difficult, decision to cancel the 2020 St. Cloud Men’s Tennis League Summer season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We wish you all a wonderful summer, and look forward to restarting in 2021.

Welcome to the newly created St. Cloud Men’s Tennis League page. The goal of this group is to promote growth and provide information for new and existing members. We offer a singles and doubles league which runs for 12 weeks starting in early June. At season’s end there is a optional singles and doubles tournament with prizes awarded to the winners at the leagues banquet in September. Further information will be provided for new members to join.
