Aloha everybody my name is Clayton Uyechi and I'm a Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist through one of fitness top companies the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). I graduated in 2010 from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a bachelors degree in Kinesiology and Exercises Science. My passion was always baseball and it stuck with me all the way through high school, college and p
ro baseball. At a young age I was taught that the preparation and hard work through practicing perfect would reflect the success I had during game time. It wasn't until high school where I started to learn about strength training. When I was young it was all about skills work whether it would be taking more ground balls, more swings after practice or going over and over on pitching mechanics which were great tools to improving my game. I graduated from Waianae High School in 2005 and I went to the University of Hawaii at Hilo for college. As soon as we started fall ball I noticed a big difference in the size, strength and caliber of the players then in high school. My freshmen year was an eye opener and I really felt I wasn't up to par. I started to lift weights with the older guys on the team and turned into the typical "Gym Rat" I pushed my body to its limits and beyond thinking that it would improve my game, boy was I WRONG!!! We didn't focus on sports specific exercises, it was the typical bench, squats and meathead workouts that landed me on the disabled list multiple times. I didn't get drafted from all my injuries and I thought my baseball playing days were over. I got a chance to play Independent baseball for Na Koa Ikaika Maui and also the Winnepeg Goldeyes. I focused on a lot of sports specific exercises and had two of the best seasons of my baseball career. Through my experiences I've learned what not to do as an athlete. I have a great passion for fitness and that's why I would like the opportunity to work with any athlete and non-athlete to improve their game or fitness goals. All the studying, experimentations and learning from Pro baseball players, personal trainers, strength coaches, physical therapists and athletic trainers have gave me a vast knowledge of many sport specific exercises for all type of athletes or for the average joe. Core Stability & Balance, Speed & Agility, Strength & Power, Endurance & Flexibility is all the areas I will cover through personal programs for each individual. If you're interested in improving your game or fitness level message me! I'm looking forward to working with you! Mahalo

"Clayton is one of the most humble guys I have ever met. His focus, dedication and hardwork made him one of our best pitchers. In my ten years of professional baseball, I haven't seen another guy work harder than he did. I was his roommate during spring training and I would be dead tired lying on my bed and he would push me to get in a yoga session knowing it would be better on our bodies for the next day. He carried himself like a seasoned veteran and pitched lights out when he got his chance. I never saw him complain or make any excuses. He is one of the best guys I have met on and off the field. He is a man of integrity and he has my utmost respect. This guy would make you an animal. Take advantage!!!"
