With incredible respect and gratitude for the precedence set before us, by US Club Soccer and NorCal Premier Soccer. 🤙🏾

In one month, the id2 National Selection boys and girls teams touch down in England, beginning 10 days of training, competition and cultural immersion that will propel their youth careers to the next level.

To do that, we've assembled a stellar coaching staff, led by id2 directors Gerry McKeown (boys) and Tricia Taliaferro (girls) and supported by the country's top club coaches.

We begin our id2 National Selection coach spotlights with Ian Mork, a long-time member of the boys coaching staff and Coach McKeown's trusted right hand. Mork has extensive experience with U.S. Soccer, NorCal Premier Soccer, and the Hawaii Soccer Federation. Welcome back, Coach Mork!

Here's our first look at the talent on Maui, where the top performers in targeted birth years were selected to participate in US Club Soccer's id² Program.

The inter-island identification process began last year at Hawaiian Football's Ke Kikowaena Lauaki ("Talent Centers") held on Maui and Hawaiʻi Island in 2020 and 2021.

Our US Club Soccer id² Hawaiʻi Selection Event held on October 11-12 featured the Hawaiian Islands' top boys born in 2008, and included 6 top boys born in 2009, with a single top boy born in 2010.

The id² Hawaiʻi Selection Event was the seventh event, sponsored by Verizon, of US Club Soccerʻs reformatted (2021-2022) program cycle. 124 players from 18 clubs were in attendance – featuring top girls born in 2007 and top boys born in 2008.

On October 9-12, the Major Island Soccer Organization Junior League and Hawaiʻi Soccer Federation hosted the Hawaiian Islands’ seventh edition of US Club Soccer’s id² Program, sponsored by Verizon, at the Waipiʻo Peninsula Soccer Complex in Waipahu, Oʻahu.
