Aikido is one of the few that can help us in the face of the AI era because with AI there is no contact, whereas with Aikido contact is the main thing in Aikido.

This is a demonstration of the potential of aikido. Of course, they're not using their full strength, but if this is to prepare them for real-life situations, our young people are trained and can counter danger. If you also want to protect yourself, come try our classes. The first week is free and you are welcome.😁

Scared of getting hurt? Fair question.

Aikido isn't about hurting anyone, including you. It's a resolution of violence, not a creation of it. While most martial arts treat transcending violence as the goal, Aikido starts there on day one.

First week free.
Keiki 4:15–5:15PM
Adult 5:45–6:45PM

An update from your local dojo 🤙

Aloha neighbors — I wanted to share a moment from our dojo last week. We had our first-ever black belt graduation, awarded to Seisha, a student who began training with us when she was just 10 years old. Watching her become the standard-bearer for everyone who comes after her was one of the proudest moments of my time teaching.

If you've ever wondered what we do up on Kaulaili Rd: we teach aikido. It's a non-violent martial art — no kicking, no punching, no tournaments. Just balance, awareness, and the kind of confidence that comes from learning to take care of yourself without ever wanting to hurt anyone else.

We've also moved our adult classes to a single consistent time: every weeknight, Monday through Friday, 5:45–6:45 PM. Kids classes (ages 5+) continue Monday through Friday at 4:15-5:15 PM and run daily all summer long.

Anyone who'd like to try a class — your first week is on us. Walk in or call/text (808) 202-6171.

Mahalo, and see you on the mat.
