sque, humble shop located in the Old Waialua Sugar Mill has been supplemented by a new showroom fit to stand side-by-side with an art gallery. The new shop features more retail accessories (fins, leashes, board bags, sunscreen, wax, etc), an extensive and well-stocked showroom showcasing local products and art, windows to peek into the crafting processes, and a comfortable couch to enjoy while you take it all in. While we pride ourselves on the new space we’ve created, we assure you that the raw, foam-to-product aspect of the old shop is still intact and accessible. We invite you to visit, explore, discuss, and enjoy our new and improved shop and get a board made just for you.

Speaking of catching a few—the next two Saturdays (June 20 & 27) will be the last two chances you’ll get to stop by our shop to catch Carl and say hello, and to peruse our board inventory.

Come by tomorrow and next Saturday from 11AM-4PM, and order your custom board from Carl ifb (in flesh & blood).

This is a classic photo of the early beginnings of Carl being Carl.

“I am 17 and it is in Satellite Beach, Florida”, he said. “How everyone starts—in the garage.

During the last swell on the North Shore, Carl paddled out at his usual and immediately realized after getting worked and served a good amount of humble pie, he needed more foam.

Within 24 hours, Carl re-tuned and souped-up his favorite board and ultimately shaped himself what he called a more “age appropriate board”—just one of the lifelong perks of being Carl, but this time, his “garage” like his new board, is a little more souped up 😉.

If an “age appropriate board” sounds like something an enlightened man— maybe even a wise man, would say, you’re right! At one year older today, Carl is less the fool and more the guy who catches waves and is having more fun.

Happy birthday, Carl! 🥳🎂🥳🎂

Great things come in small packages—like one of our favorite groms, Emme.

Carl recently custom shaped her pint-sized board and grinded down the smallest fins we have to fit her new magic board (4’0 x 151/4 x 1.88 at 11.4L)

Seven year-old Emme just started catching waves on her own last summer and quickly preferred bigger waves.

“I love big waves because they’re so powerful and they’re more fun”, she said.

Like most of us, “when I grow up I want to be a pro surfer,” Emme said. But unlike most of us, she just might!

We are so excited to follow your surf adventures, Emme! 🌊✨

It’s just one of many epic board resin art by the talented Matt, but maybe it’s a Rorschach Test on one of our best-selling longboard models 🤔
