“I was in Hawaii marrying my best friend on August 8th, and I wanted this trip—and this moment in our lives—to be something we would never forget.

The second I stepped out of the plane, everything else disappeared. No work. No stress. No problems. Just the sky, the ocean, and Hawaii beneath me. Seeing the island from that perspective was incredible, but the feeling was even better. For those few minutes, I felt completely free.

When my feet hit the ground, it was a mixture of adrenaline, pride, gratitude, and one overwhelming thought: I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

This entire trip has been about taking leaps. Two years ago, Shandon and I found each other. This week, we took the biggest leap of our lives and became husband and wife. Skydiving in Hawaii just felt like the perfect way to celebrate that.
