Great season Post 20! Keep your heads up, you had a great season and made us all proud!

STATE BASEBALL: Wahpeton falls to Kindred, 4-2, ending its American Legion Baseball season with a 35-6 record. Post 20 finishes as one of the top six teams in North Dakota Class A.

Jackson Fliflet had Wahpeton's only hit, an RBI single. Tori Uhlich and Skyler Bladow scored one run each, with Uhlich stealing three bases to give him 47 for the season.

Caden Hockert (6.0 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 2 Ks, 2 BB) bounced back from a three-run first inning to give Wahpeton six solid frames on the bump. Jack Wold was lights out through six innings for Kindred and Masen Allmaras pitched a clean seventh for the save.

Allmaras and Nick Thompson keyed the Kindred offense with two hits apiece, resulting in two RBIs and two runs scored.

Despite falling short of a second consecutive state championship, Wahpeton has clearly built a dominant culture, amassing a 72-15 record over the past two seasons. Daily News congratulates Post 20 on its successes throughout the summer.

Yesterday was a tough day as we lost a great man and big time supporter of our team.

Scott Nulph was an amazing sports reporter who loved our team and enjoyed covering our games. We loved having him around at our games as well.

More importantly, Scott was an amazing person. He will be missed and has touched the lives of countless people in the community.

Rest in Peace Scott.

A few days have passed now since the reunion of the 1996 Class A State Champions.

Sunday was a day filled with many handshakes, hugs, introductions to our families, sharing of memories and many, MANY laughs!

This team was truly a team. We competed, we challenged each other, we wanted to win... But more than anything, we cared for and loved each other.

Hopefully, it won't take us another 25 years to get together again.

Thank you everyone, it was truly a special day.
