While competition schedules may change during the summer, athlete development shouldn’t stop.

Summer is a great time to focus on areas that are often difficult to prioritize during a busy season, including:

• Building strength that supports speed and power
• Improving movement quality and technique
• Addressing weaknesses that may limit performance

The athletes who make the biggest improvements next season are often the ones who put in the work when no one is watching.

💪 COACH SPOTLIGHT: Meet Matthew!

We’re excited to officially welcome Matthew to the 2PiFit coaching team!

Matthew first joined 2PiFit as an Exercise Science intern while completing his degree at the University of Cincinnati. During his internship, he quickly stood out through his professionalism, eagerness to learn, and genuine passion for helping clients succeed.

After seeing the positive impact he had on our team and clients, we were excited to offer him a coaching position at 2PiFit.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Cincinnati and is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. His background in athletics, strength training, and bodybuilding sparked a passion for helping others improve their health, build strength, and gain confidence.

Matthew believes fitness should improve not only physical health, but overall quality of life. He brings energy, encouragement, and a commitment to helping every client get the most out of their training.

We’re excited to have Matthew as part of the 2PiFit family and look forward to the impact he’ll have on our clients and community.

Most people don’t know this about me…

Before I became a coach and started 2PiFit, I was battling a severe case of undiagnosed Lyme disease.

In 2013, my health completely changed. I was exhausted, frustrated, overwhelmed, and knew something was wrong with my body — but I didn’t have answers yet.

That season of my life became the turning point.

Through fitness, nutrition, lifestyle changes, and a complete mindset shift, I slowly started rebuilding my health from the inside out. And along the way, I realized something important:

So many women are struggling silently.

They’re exhausted.
They don’t feel like themselves.
They’re constantly putting their health last.
And they’ve been told that feeling rundown is just “part of life.”

That experience is one of the biggest reasons I created 2PiFit.

Not to promote quick fixes.
Not to chase extremes.
But to help women build real strength, sustainable habits, confidence, energy, and long-term health.

Lyme disease changed my life.
But it also gave me purpose.

And while I would never wish that experience on anyone, I’m grateful for the perspective it gave me and the women it allows me to help today. 💚

Sasha came to us wanting to improve her agility and performance on the tennis court.

Since starting, she’s:

A: No—we meet athletes where they are and build from there.

Q: Will this help prevent injuries?
A: Yes—strength and proper movement are key to reducing injury risk.

Q: How is this different from what they do at practice?
A: Practice builds skill. We build strength, movement, and long-term development.

Q: How often do they train?
A: 2x/week in a structured, coached environment.

It won’t.

Strength training—done the right way—helps athletes become:
