Who is excited to watch and cheer on our three Minnesota girls teams heading out early tomorrow morning for the Women's National Duals?

Wrestlers able to compete in the Women's National Duals are 14U (born 2012-2013) , 16U (born 2010-2011) , and Junior (Born after 9/1/2006 and enrolled in grades 9-12 during the 2026 spring semester).

A year ago our 14U girls won their freestyle pool and finished 5rh in the gold/silver. This years group of girls looks to build on that and battle throughout. Regardless of finishing results, the national duals experience is a fun and cool opportunity for these ladies to represent Team Minnesota and themselves among many of the top girls in the country.

🏆 TEAM MINNESOTA HEADS WEST FOR THE 2026 16U NATIONAL DUALS 🏆

Team Minnesota is set to compete at the 2026 16U National Duals in Farmington, Utah, this week at Western Sports Park. The event begins Wednesday morning with Greco-Roman competition and concludes Thursday afternoon with placement matches. Freestyle action will follow on Friday and Saturday.

The 16U division features wrestlers born in 2010 and 2011, and Minnesota will send two teams under the leadership of 16U Age Division Director Gary Auer.

This year's squad appears poised for another strong national showing. In Greco-Roman, keep an eye on Garrett Bjerga, Cayden Neisen, Rex Ayshford, and Grayson Schroeder as Minnesota looks to battle among the nation's best. When Freestyle begins on Friday, watch for Kaden Lindquist, Beckett Edstrom, Kadin Martin, and Destan Skelly to lead the charge.

Team Minnesota has established itself as one of the premier programs in the country at the 16U National Duals. Last year, Minnesota placed 3rd in Freestyle and 5th in Greco-Roman. In 2024, Minnesota finished 5th in Greco and 9th in Freestyle.

Looking back through the record books, the last Minnesota 16U Greco-Roman National Championship came in 2021 when Team Minnesota defeated Oklahoma 48-26 in the championship dual. That same team also earned a 3rd-place finish in Freestyle.

Minnesota has consistently been among the nation's elite at the 16U level, and this year's team is eager to continue that tradition on the national stage.

Thank you to all who came out to the Waconia Youth Wrestling Banquet/Awards event yesterday at Laketown Elementary. Additional thank you to the Banquet Committee and Coaches/Staff for planning/hosting another amazing event! The capstone of the evening was highlighted by speeches across each member of the 6th grade, who carried the tradition of sharing their stories and journey in the sport! We will miss this group, but know they will make a name for themselves in the high school program! See below for the full event recap and award winners, as follows:
