Congratulations Mia Tiller!

Junior Zayda Butler (left) and senior Mia Tiller (right) were sworn in as the new student representatives on the School Board for the 2026-27 school year at last night's regular meeting.

Student school board representatives serve as advisors to the school board and administration, offering insights into the development and assessment of policies and regulations within our school system by attending school board business meetings and work sessions. Though they do not have voting rights, they act as a vital link between the student body and the school board, also gaining valuable governmental experience through their participation.

This Sunday at Hopper's Bar and Grill in Waconia at 2pm, the raffle drawing for this year's national team fundraiser will take place. If you are in the area and want to come by and check it out, please do. WWC YOUTH PROGRAM HEAD COACHING UPDATE:
Waconia Wrestling has been blessed with a rich tradition of dedicated and passionate coaches across its entire history. On behalf of the Youth Wrestling Program, we wanted to share that Youth Head Coach - Neil Vos - will be stepping down this season after five years in this role and many prior years as an assistant coach. Neil’s impact and years of service have been highlighted by dedication, passion, hard work, and the hallmarks of a mindset of EFFORT, ATTITUDE and SPORTSMANSHIP! His leadership, guidance and support of our youth wrestlers and coaches across all these years are truly appreciated across our entire organization. Neil plans to continue in a support/assistant capacity this year and behind the scenes to allow more time for him to support & watch his 3 boys (Owen, Nolan & Easton) compete in the high school program. Jon May, a longtime coach across our Youth, Freestyle/Greco and High School programs, will step into the Youth Head Coach role. Jon is a MSHSL State Champion, Cadet Freestyle National Champion/3x Junior Greco All-American and 2x NCAA Qualifier for the University of Nebraska and has 3 youth wrestlers (Henry, Franklin & Annie) enrolled in our youth program. He has been heavily involved in leading many practices these past few years and is excited to step up into an expanded role leading our wrestlers and coaches. Jon's passion is contagious and will continue our tradition of strong leadership across our youth programs. Please join us in congratulations again to Neil and Jon on these announcements!

Boys Luther HS Team Camp Wrap Up/Recap:
Our Waconia Boys HS Team finished 9th overall across the duals + team building competition (5th across the dual only event). Individual Tournament was today with 3 champions including Nolan Vos, Owen Vos and Collin Meuwissen. Campers of the day included: Lincoln Kleinknight and Collin Meuwissen. Great job team! And thank you coaches 💪🙏
