A Message from the owner:
Y'ALL!!!! What a wild rollercoaster of an adventure this season has been! From weather more unpredictable than my cooking to wildlife sightings that could rival a nature documentary (I swear I saw a raccoon eyeing my lunch!), and even a total eclipse that made us all suddenly appreciate those eclipse sunglasses we bought five years ago—this summer has been a blast! Seriously, I could fill a book with the shenanigans we've had.
I bought Pura Vida Paddle with a heart full of gratitude and a head full of dreams (and maybe some sunscreen). I’m beyond blessed to turn my love for kayaking into a job. And let me tell you, when your job involves paddling on water instead of sitting in a cubicle, you know it’s a score!
As we paddle into the "off season" (also known as my ‘I promise to finally clean my closet’ season), I wanted to give you guys the scoop on what’s brewing while we’re closed for the season.
Drumroll, please… Pura Vida Paddle is now part of the Sunshine Paddle Adventures family! That means you can now join us for epic tours along the Brazos or rent kayaks and paddleboards for your own crazy adventures. Who knows? You might even stumble upon your long-lost flip-flop from last summer! We’ve got some exciting new offerings lined up for next spring, so keep those peepers peeled on our social media.
At our wrap-up party this weekend (which was basically a reunion that should’ve come with a ‘Caution: Dancing May Occur’ sign), I reflected on all the fabulous folks we’ve met and the good times that filled our days. It’s been a wild ride—one that had me questioning if I needed a helmet at times—but the gratitude bubbling in my heart could float a kayak! I’m ridiculously proud of our team. Seriously, I’d paddle over to each of them and give them a high-five if I weren’t worried about capsizing!
Sunshine Paddle Adventures will still be pulling off some specialty tours this winter because, let’s face it, who doesn’t want to wear a life jacket in December? We’ll also have limited rentals available for those of you who just can't quit paddling. In the meantime, we’ll be tucked away in our dreamy little corner of the world, plotting the most magical tours we can conjure up for next year!
Stay tuned! It’s going to be even more adventuresome than a raccoon at a picnic!
