⚽ Once a Trojan, Always a Trojan 💜

Another year, another unforgettable camp! What an incredible three days of soccer, learning, and fun with over 100 campers from our community.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our campers, parents, coaches, and sponsors for making this year’s camp such a tremendous success. Your support and enthusiasm continue to make this event special year after year.

🌟 Coach Spotlight: Victor Herrera

• University High School Alumni
• Currently playing at Chicago State University
• Freshman Year: Newcomer of the Year, 3 assists, and became a full 90-minute player in the final five matches.
• Sophomore Year: Recipient of the Cougar Heart Award and logged over 600 minutes on the field.
• Heading into his junior season, Victor is working toward earning the captain’s armband.

Victor continues to represent University High School with pride while giving back to the Waco community by investing in the next generation of soccer players. We are incredibly proud of everything he has accomplished and are excited to watch his journey continue.

Thank you, Victor, for making this camp possible and for inspiring so many young athletes. We can’t wait to see all that your future holds, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s camp! 💜⚽

⚽ DAY 2 RECAP 💜

Another awesome day at Camp! We had another great turnout, welcomed several new faces, and enjoyed some amazing weather! It’s been incredible to watch everyone improve over the last two days!

🌟 Coach Spotlight: Emily Guerrero

• University High School Alumni
• Played collegiately at Hill College (JUCO)
• First Year: Scored 2 goals, recorded the game-winning assist in the Regional Championship, won a District Championship, and qualified for the National Tournament.
• Second Year: Earned a starting role, became a full 90-minute player, scored 2 goals, and added several assists.
• This fall, Emily will continue her soccer career at Huston-Tillotson University. Congratulations, Emily! 💜⚽

A huge thank you to Coach Emily for investing in the next generation of players and sharing her passion for the game with our campers.

⚽ DAY 1 RECAP 💜

What an incredible start to Camp! We had 100+ campers join us today, and the energy was amazing!

Today we focused on:
⚽ Dribbling skills
🥅 The fundamentals of the game
💧 Plenty of water breaks to stay hydrated in the 100° Texas heat!

A huge thank you to all the campers, parents, and coaches who made Day 1 such a success.

🌟 Coach Spotlight: David Fernandez

• Crowley High School Alumni
• Played collegiately at Hill College (JUCO)
• 2nd Team All-Conference
• Regional Finalist
• Recorded 5 goals & 2 assists during his second season
• Private trainer based in Fort Worth, specializing in 1-on-1 and group training for players of all positions.

We’re grateful to have Coach David sharing his knowledge and passion with our campers this week!

We’re excited to welcome boys and girls ages 7–12 for three fun-filled mornings of soccer, skill development, games, and great memories! Hosted by Victor Herrera and your University Trojans, this camp is designed to help young athletes learn, grow, and have fun!

Our boys had the opportunity to spend the day at Bells Hill helping with Field Day, and it was an awesome experience! Great to see our players giving back, being role models, and making memories with the kids. Proud of these young men for representing our program the right way!
