South Central Roller Skating Championships

South Central Roller Skating Championships USARS Regional qualifying competition for Inline Speed Skating and Roller Figure Skating. Top placements move on to compete at the National Championships.

The South Central chapter of USA Roller Sports hosts an annual competition to qualify skaters in Inline Speed Skating and Roller Figure Skating to the National Championships. The top skaters in each event will represent the region against the rest of the country. Events for Inline Speed Skating include age divisions as well as relay races. There are events for both Novice; new to the sport of Inline Speed Skating, as well as Standard; skaters who have competed for 3 years or longer. Roller Figure Skating events have many more options including Freestyle, Figures, Dance, Pairs, and more. Similar to Speed Skating there are different skill levels in the competition; A level for advanced, B level for those not skating as long, and C level for beginner skaters.

Good Morning Racers!

Heritage square is the finish line for the Big Ass Texas 5k run happening this morning. There are 100 port o potties there and some food vendors.

Make sure to bring your Water and Snacks.

It has rained a lot this last week and the ground is wet. Be prepared for that!

100m Races are first
Followed by Long, sprint/1 lap races, finishing with middle.

Coaches please remember to turn your helmet covers in tomorrow before you leave. $25.00 per Helmet Cover fee if not returned.

*** Please note 2 Things ***
3rd street is closed from Jefferson to Waco Drive (construction and a Sunday morning 5k run) and Jefferson over to University Parks. Make plans to come over via Waco Drive if not staying at Courtyard.

Unfortunately Port O Potty is not making it to the track. There are a couple of options for you within Walking distance: St Francis Church (it is Sunday be respectful), Courtyard Marriott, 5th and Austin has some really great coffee shops! We apologize for the major inconvenience.

Doors open Friday 6:30am
Practice & Registration 7am-8:30am
Event Coaches Meeting 8:30am
Racing begins 9am
Lunch Break 12pm-1:30pm
South Central Coaches Meeting 12-12:30pm

There are no race warm ups in between blocks. Please have your athletes warm up off skates.

Texas Style Long Finals: All athletes entered in division will compete in the long final!

There will be a QR code on site for the event Google Drive!
