With the summer slowly coming to an end, it’s time for our yearly OOTP Banner day. For every girl that gets to hang their college banner, it signifies the hard work, sweat, tears and emotions that were left on our turf during their time with OOTP.

Every banner girl knows that hanging a banner at our shop is more than just the signing - it means that, softball or not, you will always remember what you did to get to that moment (bumpy roads included) and always be a part of our OOTP family. Thank you to all the families for being a part of our community and for investing in us to guide and help you and your daughters get to where they want.

With the summer softball season wrapping up, it’s time to announce the 2026 OOTP Fall Hitting & Pitching Groups beginning in September!

Since 2018, OOTP has been established as the ONLY all Softball facility in the #518. Led by former University at Albany standout Kara Faraone, Out of the Park Softball has had the opportunity to work with, train and develop some of the best softball players in the Northeast including:

* 70+ High School All Stars from 3 different states (NY, MA, VT)
* 50+ Former/Current Players at the NCAA or NJCAA level including over 20 NCAA D1 players
* 6 Suburban Council (NY) Pitcher of the Year
* 5 Suburban Council (NY) Catcher of the Year
* 30+ All-State (NY) All-Stars
* 4 Section II (NY) Player of the Year
* 3 New York State Player of the Year
* 6 former/current High School/NCAA coaches

With over 30 years of experience, Coach Kara and OOTP softball has defined player growth in the #518 for close to 3 decades while leading the way and advising for various teams, groups and organizations throughout the Northeast. The philosophy and mantra of what we do is establishing a strong foundation for players while providing proper guidance to families as they navigate the softball world.

So happy for you, KP! Everyone sees the success but it’s what you did and do in your time when nobody is watching that makes you the player you are. 1 year down, 3 more to go!

Colonie grad, Katie Parisi, had quite the freshman year for the UAlbany softball team. Parisi quickly established herself as a key part of the Great Danes lineup, racking up the awards in her first collegiate season.

With the snow melting away, it is finally that time again to open up the season, specifically the 2026 Softball Season.

To all of our college girls that have already begun the season or are about to begin, we are so excited to see the next chapter of your softball careers and can’t wait to hear about all of your experiences this year when you get back home!

To ALL of our High school girls, both in New York State and out….all the sweat, hard work and efforts you put in this off season pays off beginning today. Good luck to ALL of our High School girls as they begin their school tryouts. We are very proud of the work you put in this off season and know that it will pay off once you step on the field.
