Palomar Riders, one of the oldest organized riding clubs in California, has a unique and some would say “odd” name. But as you’ll see from the following history it’s an appropriate name for a club which still carries on some of the best traditions of th
e Old West. Today’s VPR members share an important trait with those original founders of the 1940’s – we cherish and honor our historic relationship with the horse. The club's original bylaws, which have not changed over the years, clearly state the purpose of Vista Palomar Riders:

SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY AND GUIDELINES
It is the primary goal of Vista Palomar Riders to provide information & news to our club members through our website and Facebook. The Social Media Committee will make every effort to keep this information updated in a timely manner. All official club information submitted for the public viewing must go through the Compliance Committee. This is a final check on anything going public, for content and for the best interest of the club. and any advertising for the club must be approved before it can be published on social media, emailed or distributed to VPR members. Anyone working on a Social Media Site, must be a member of the social Media Committee. All passwords & user names must be emailed to the Board President when Accounts are setup or user names or passwords are changed. VPR does not allow live feeds of Board Meetings, Special Meetings or Potlucks. Live feeds of events need Board approval before the event and, if granted, members and guests must be notified of the Live Feed prior to it occurring. 1. Members are welcome to post to their own page and tag VPR, but all content on the Vista Palomar Riders page will be reviewed and possibly removed if found to be inappropriate.
2. We do not under any circumstance allow graphics, photos, comments or submissions that are obscene, explicit, political, racial, abusive, hateful or intended to defame any individual or any organization.
3. We do not allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity.
4. You participate at your own risk and take personal responsibility for your comments, photos, reviews, and posts.
5. We do not allow any outside business interest to be promoted using Vista Palomar Riders social media platforms unless the business is an official sponsor of VPR, or an approved Vendor.
6. Spam will be removed and may cause the author(s) to be blocked from the page without notice.
7. Please keep your comments regarding the Vista Palomar Riders positive. If you have an issue with Vista Palomar Riders, we would like to help you resolve it through the proper channels; please contact one of the Board Members for assistance. Please allow VPR the opportunity to help you resolve any issue prior to posting.
