Q & A about Personal Training:
Q - Who can benefit from Personal Training? A - Anyone serious about his/her health, fitness, or sports performance will benefit from personal training. Q - How is Personal Training different from small group or 'Academy' training? The session is just you and YOUR trainer - one on one. There's no 'posted on the wall' daily exercise list that supposedly is 'one size f
its all'. Also a true 'Personal Trainer' isn't trying to divide his/her focus between several clients at once. The trainer is focused on YOU...your every move...and your wellbeing. Q - What are some typical objectives a trainer will have for a client? A - You and the trainer will decide on your objectives, but they can include body shaping, body fat reduction, inch loss, better sports performance, increased muscle size and/or definition, greater endurance, decreased pain, and better mobility. How often will I meet with my personal trainer? Each exercise session will be set at a convenient time for you that fits into your busy schedule. Your sessions can be as often as you wish, depending on your specific needs and goals. Initially we recommend 2-3 sessions a week. Where will we train? At Functional Fitness' 4000 square foot facility in Visalia. The entire facility is dedicated to personal training so you and your trainer will have the room to perform whatever exercises you desire, and the ability to work together without a large 'audience' of other gym goers. Why do I need a trainer? First a qualified Personal Trainer will design a safe, time-efficient program which will meet your specific needs. Second, having a trainer will allow you to be more consistent in your time allocated to exercise. Third, a personal trainer will gradually raise your workout intensity and vary the exercises to a level and variety it would be nearly impossible to attain on your own. What makes the training at Functional Fitness special? Besides all the obvious physical amenities, Functional Fitness personal training is supervised in its entirety by Ray Dryden. Ray is one of the fitness industry's leading experts on personal training protocols, pain management, and reconstructive muscle training. Ray brings decades of experience to his job, and will personally develop, approve, write, and edit your specific program - regardless of your specific personal trainer. So, in effect, you'll always have two trainers - regardless of who works as your specific trainer.
